They are different sizes. I got different breeds. I let them mate and get different colors.
I also let sets hatch out kind of staggered.
I get free range eggs. We also kill and eat them. That's why the different size. Some are dedicated to laying and the rest food.

That's only a few. Got about 50 chickens. I make a little extra selling eggs and chickens.

That's what we do.
They help keep bugs out of the garden. I also noticed the ticks weren't so bad this year here.

They are babies, not undersized.

Corn, oyster shell, lots and lots of different vegetables and all the bugs they want.

My grand dad let his chickens free roam to eat bugs and get exercise. He fed them oyster shells to.

When chickens get to roam and eat bugs the yolks on the eggs get dark orange. I think they taste better,

Did you know not all eggs are the same? Some are better for frying and baking and some are better for boiling. Did you know you don't need a rooster to have eggs? Do you know the eggs you buy in the store are three weeks old? Meijer seems to be the freshest I've found.

And they taste stronger as well. Country eggs always have a stronger taste to me than store bought eggs.
