I don't know how I missed this man and I do appreciate the good words. I am going to keep this thread up for those looking for answers and for those wanting to answer. I will answer what I can but if the questions flood in I may fall behind lol As you can see on page 2 :D Thanks​

heyy everybody, im in the process of building my Nutrient Film Technique hydro system.
this will be my first attemt at hydro, i have read a great deal but still have alot to learn about NFT setups.
the main thing im looking for is how to maintain the nutrient solution? every thing i have read say "top it off every now and then" and refresh the resivoir every 2 weeks... well im not happy with that haha
im sure there are basic instructions on the nutrient bottles, but i mean am i going to be adding full doses every few days, or 1/4th dose, or less?
i am not a completly clueless noob lol i understand that it will vary with each strain,etc... and i will mostly have to rely on reading what my plants are telling me, but it would b nice to know some guidlines.
any info at all on NFT setups would be VERY appreciated =]

I hope some of the followers of this thread can help you on that subject jumbo, I will be looking more into NFT before I can even answer you with any sort of response. I really just learned about NFT so I wont really be able to help you yet. I will do my best to find you something that could be found useful.

I have a 2000w Fan-Heater That has 3 modes - Vent mode , Warm 1, Warm 2.
My question is the consumption in vent mode when there is no heating ?Is it again 2000w.

p.s sry didnt know if this is the right place to ask.

For a no in no out room you will need a good air conditioner to keep your temps down. You may also consider some Co2 in a nicely closed room :D If you can drill you could also put some holes in the roof and walls and floor for intake and exhausts. Good luck on keeping the temp down.

I would like you to make this an actual question... The ? doesn't necessarily make it a question ;-) Cool tubes require an in and out of the room. A hole to bring air in and through the tube and out another hole. Best way to make sure you aren't using your exhaust for intake you should drill a hole in 1 wall and a hole on the opposite side of your grow box. 1 for intake and 1 for exhaust. Roofs and floors work for exhaust and intakes also.

You don't have to be sorry about asking any question in my thread. There may be people that criticize but here I will find an answer to help benefit you and your question. This question is one of those questions that really can't be answered without better specs or at least a name of a product. If you look on your box or look for the exact same heat fan at the store you will probably be able to find the answer to that. There may also be an 800 number you could call for more info. Hope that helps a little at least :D

SOME people actually do search for a while n come up empty. like you said there is so much shit online sometimes its hard to find a specific thing. tat bei said. is it true tat you can bury the stem n it will grow roots however deep you bury it???

I would say that without actual specs, that you could be pretty sure (about 85%) that the fan does not use more than an amp (100 watts) as most small fans run on more like 1/2 amp and most space heaters are designed with small fans that don't move a lot of air (if they did it would not heat up)

could find a cheap clamp on ammeter n put the jaws around ONE of the wires o the cord. you may have to wrap the wire around one of the jaws and divide the readin by the number of times you wrapd it if you don get a readin the normal way... good way to find out the amp draw on your entire setup

You can bury a stem of an outdoor plant and it will grow roots eventually if you keep on it like a clone. Keep it watered but not over watered, keep the leaf alive and it will eventually sprout roots.

Yea I keep pretty busy but I really enjoy helping others. Like I said when I get asked difficult questions it gives me a chance to look further into it and learn more myself. I really have fun with a lot of this. I am very dedicated to growing and enjoy the hell out of it like most of you will or do.

This is true and false. If he was referring to the speed of the fan this is true. If he was referring to the heater itself with different settings then you would really have to look at the box or item at hand and do a little research on it. Thanks for chiming in Riddleme. An Ohm meter is what I think you are referring to and yes that would tell him what amps / volts / watts are running through that wire. I hope he finds his answer :D

How does the shipping work in detail?
Is it safe to order seeds to finland?
I'm 17, does this really matter if ordering seeds from Attitude?
If not from the internet where i could get seeds?

Most seed companies don't like to deal with people under 18 on average. As far as Finland law you may have to wait for someone with experience to answer this. I would hate to give you info on something I don't know about and you get in trouble for someone's suggestions that is across the world lol I will look into it for you though. Most of the time when shipping seeds they come in unsuspicious packages (regular mailing envelopes) and place them into seed containers. You could contact Altitude with this question and see what they have to say.

Most of the time (depending on age of the plant too) is usually 1-3 weeks in flower before showing signs. If they look like they are starting to show parts or Preflowers in veg, they are telling you they are mature enough for flower. You will get best results from allowing them to preflower in veg. some people recomend to take a clone fromt the plant in question, and flower the clone to see what the sex is. it will probly pop pre flowers befor then IMO tho..

Na man the preflowers will pop eventually but you could still determine sex before hand with the clones. I have in the past and on my more previous grow.
