Well, the fact is, there really isn't much "new" to bring to the table, Dank. Either one is for more government control over our lives, or one isn't. There are just new ways of presenting each viewpoint.
Heres a first hand report for you Dankster. My 5 year old grandaughter has a tendency towards bronchial problems. The Dr. has said to keep her away from cigarette smoke. Now here's the truth about that. We, my wife and I are basically raising her as her mother is a speed freak. When we let her mother take her for a day (She and all her friends smoke) she comes back and can hardly breathe, we have to give her a treatment. So I know firsthand that second hand smoke is harmful to my precious little grandaughter. When she is with us, No smoking is allowed in the house, she is fine and needs no breathing treatments, so scoff all you want, but I sees it first hand my man. As for your head in the sand view of global warming, oh well, everyone is entitled to an opinion, it's just yours happens to be wrong, and no debating will change your mind, so I won't waste my time. I'll just say this about that: Most scierntists that are scoffing at Mans involvement in global warming are affiliated some way with the gross polluters.
The warming arguement is closed for me, I can see your convinced and stubborn, so be it. The second hand smoke thing might be true if you could hold her in a room filled with barbeque smoke, but like most folks, we barbeque outdoors. It only happens when she spends time with her asshole mother who the Dr. has told to not smoke around her, and she keeps her in the car while she smokes or takes her to someones house where they all smoke, so I'm pretty sure second hand smoke is dangerous to her. There are something like 86 different toxic chemicals in second hand smoke, I don't feel like doing the cut and paste on this but if you come up with a lower # I'll look into it.

I choose to not smoke and to also keep my Granddaughter away from second hand smoke as much as possible. Would I bring her to your house where you smoke those putrid stogies, certainly not. But I wouldn't oppose you smoking them. I quit quite a few years ago and have made it a habit to stay away from the smoke as much as possible. I even hate going to casinos because of the smoke, but it is your right to smoke and if I don't like smoke, I'll stay the fuck away from it. So don't they call that second hand smoke? I always sat in the non-smoking sections, but sometimes that invisible line was right next to a bevy of smokers. About the crazy drivers, I'll agree. They come from everywhere and the illegals are the worst. I drove an 80 thousand pound concrete mixer on the crazy streets of vegas for 7+ years and never had an accident, I call that defensive driving or extreme luck. The teenage girls are the scariest, they don't have a frikin clue of what that mixer would do to their Honda.Now, that's a low blow, Med. My stoggies are NOT putrid!

I happen to agree with you on smoking in restaurants, and I hate Vegas for a few reasons, among which, are the freakin' traffic, crazy drivers, the heat ... AND the stinking casinos. They reek with tobacco smoke. Know what's funny? ... I like to sit down and play Keno and have a few drinks on the house while I smoke a stoggie. I only smoke the good stuff ... quality cigars. You should see the nasty looks I get from the skinny old ladies who are chain smoking their Cinderella Lights. Its just my way of getting even. ~lol~
I believe a person has the right to do whatever he/she wants ... as long as the rights of another are not violated in the process. And ... a couple of assholes sitting in the next booth, blowing cigarette smoke across my dinner plate just pisses me off to no end. Bah!
