I'm not sure if my skywalker og is ready for harvesting

From the research I did that may be exactly it, because this was a happy and healthy tree from the jump, it only started doing this like 1 week ago. So I'm not sure exactly what's going on however, the growth of the foxtail has stopped and is currently thickening up from what I observed. Could this be the plants way of thickening up the calyx?

How hot has it been at the high points?

damn, the whole plant is a bud lol. GJ man. get a hand held microscope and check the tricomes on the plant that way its much easyer to tell when its finished.

Honestly I don't know, I just like leaving the plant to do its thing, however I do trim the plant to redirect nutrients. The rain waters it and I sometimes use liquid fertilizer but that's like once every two weeks and I just spray it for bortritis, mold, and insects

Also I don't force the plant in a trills I just let it grow and when it begins flowering I create a net around it just for added support during the rains and winds

The likely scenario for the foxtailing is heat stress.

The thing is foxtailing just looks odd. It's still bud, it still smokes and it still gets you high.

When determining if your plant is done dont bother looking at the foxtails trichomes for maturity. You will need to look at the original buds to determine it.
