I'm voting for McCain....

Obama

Obama wants us all to be beholden to the UN. He wants us all to think of ourselves as citizens of the world, and what's worse he wants to expand our welfare program from inside our borders to all over the world through his Global Poverty Act. So instead of being forced into involuntary servitude to support people that are at least fellow citizens, we are going to end up supporting Africa's poor, and Europe's poor (which means everyone in Europe due to their confiscatory tax rates), and Asia's poor. We are going to end up supporting the poor in Australia, and the poor in South America. This is absurd, why does Obama seek to have us continue to interfere in the Houses of others when our own House is in sorry shape?

Obama speaks of punishing the "rich" by raising capital gains tax, but this move does not punish the rich. This move would punish every American that has a 401K (which is approximately 51% of the population now.) It would punish any one in California that is looking at selling a house their parents left them to leave the confiscatory tax rates of California for greener pastures in other states where their labor is not taxed. It would punish home owners across the nation, because they'd have to pay more taxes on any gain they realized from selling his home.

He speaks of raising income taxes on the "rich" that make more than $250,000 a year. What a bloody convenient number. The only government official likely effected by that increase in taxes is the President, because the Senators, and Representatives only make ~$200,000. Who suffers from the tax increase. small business owners who employ the majority of America, and account for the majority of our businesses. These individuals have sole proprietorships, or subschapter-S Corporations that have pass through taxation, but they aren't going to pay the taxes, their workers are going to. Either because they are going to lay off workers or they are going to replace their workers with less expensive workers, or they are going to attempt to offshore their jobs to India, or move their manufacturing facilities to Ireland where corporate taxes are 12% or Russia where they are 15%, or to the Ukraine where they are 13%. If they don't do that they will raise prices and every American that purchase their product, or a product made with their products is going to end up paying the tax in higher prices.

And if you aren't part of the "rich" what does Obama plan to do to you. He wants to raise your taxes too, and force you to get Healthcare, even if you don't want it or need it. He wants to force everyone to pay the way of the Health Industry, and force us into involuntary servitude to doctors in addition to the government.

His foreign policy is one of appeasement, any student of history knows that appeasement does not work. The Munich Agreement didn't accomplish anything. Hitler just said, "Thanks for the appetizer" and moved forward with his invasion of Poland a few years later. The only sure way to discourage some one from doing something negative is to make sure that they understand that if they engage in the action they will have their ass kicked. If we had tried to talk to Saddam Hussein in 1991 as Barrack Hussein Obama, would have had us do we'd probably still be trying to talk him into leaving Kuwait. If we had tried to talk Hitler and Tojo into surrendering during World War II, we'd probably still be trying to talk Germany into restoring France, and we'd be asking them to get out of Russia (which would have had greatly reduced chances if we had just talked instead of giving them aid in their fight against Germany.) Sorry, Mr Hussein "The Insane" Obama, but you can not appease a tiger by trying to talk it out of eating you, you have either got to kill it, or let it eat you. Either way some one is going to lose.

Obama's gun stance is even worse. He wants everyone to be disarmed, but his tax policies are going to make it more profitable to be a criminal than honestly employed. We are going to be facing a resurgence in crime as people realize that they can make more stealing from their fellow man than working some stupid McJob flipping burders. If we don't have guns to protect ourselves we are going to find our property stolen and our liberty violated by criminals.

Excuse me if I fail to share his enthusiasm for Environmentalism, but I find it hard to really believe what people are saying when they keep on changing their position and speak utter nonsense. They call it global warming and then say it might be responsible for colder winters. A few years ago they were saying that it was going to cause more extreme weather, now they are saying that it may cause fewer hurricanes. Everytime the Climate shifts a little bit Environmentalists show how flaky they are and attempt to make it look like it's because of Global Warming that the change happened. These same nut jobs support mercury in our light bulbs, and fail to disclose the fact that if you break one of the CFLs they want to shove down our throats you are facing $2,000 - $3,000 in costs to hire a hazmat crew to decontaminate your residence. Incandescents might be inefficient, but at least they aren't poisonous.

I am not the government's slave, I will not let myself be forced into involuntary servitude by any one. I do not, and I will not bow before any man, just like the founding father's of this Republic refused to bow before tyrants, and our ancestors refused to bow before tyrants. I will not kiss any one's ass, and I will not go quietly or meekly into slavery for any individual, organization or government.

As for McCain

How can people call him McSame. He is almost the opposite of Bush, except for his stance on the War in Iraq. And the War in Iraq, while it is an issue is a minor one at best. Our economy is in disarray thanks to the government interfering in the markets, and forcing banks to lower their lending standards which led to the housing bubble. (Events that stretch back into the Clinton Era, and into the start of the Bush Era.)

McCain wants to grant amnesty to illegal immigrants. Repeating history, and forgetting a lesson that was learned by another great republic that is no longer amongst us now. That Republic was Rome, and it to had once been the envy of all the barbarians that surrounded it. Roman Citizenship was a privilege worth killing for, and for a while the Romans were willing to do that. They were willing to enlist in the military to go kill foreign enemies in wars of aggression, but they got sick of wars of aggression when the people they defeated would be given citizenship, and decided that they would give citizenship to mercenaries that fought their wars for them. In the end those Mercenaries sick of being forced to fights enemies and wanting more turned on Rome (it didn't help that Emperor was an idiot) and sacked her. Taking the riches that they had looked upon with envy in the hearts for so long for themselves. We have seen what happens when you throw the citizenship of a Republic away, and treat it like it is not something to be reached for. You destroy the pride that people are natural-born citizens in being citizens, and you can't replace it, because no matter how long they are in your country foreigners will never have the same pride as a natural born citizen in their country. McCain should not be giving away US Citizenship to people who have shown they do not deserve it, because they do not respect the laws that our country has. There are plenty of immigrants like them that have gotten their citizenship legally, would you insult those people and their effort by just giving it away to people that don't deserve it?

As far as McCain's environmental insanity. How much wealth does he want to steal from us by "taxing" corporations for their carbon emissions. When you tax corporations they don't pay the taxes, their shareholders, employees and customers due through lower dividends, fewer jobs, and higher prices. Damaging the economy to reduce CO2, which si actually good for vegetation is stupid. It has been shown that increased vegetation will lead to lower global temperatures because they will soak up additional CO2. The latest trends in Green Industry is to replace metal roofs with roofs covered in plant life. Corporations like Ford have already moved towards doing this. Their manufacturing facility utilized it, and their manufacturing facility was pretty massive. Technology is already moving towards increased efficiency and lowering costs of heating and cooling buildings. We don't need the government to interfere in the markets, because the markets will seak the greatest amount of efficiency.

What's more insulting is that McCain wants to dictate to us what we do, he wants to tell us what to eat, what to drink, what to smoke. He is a liberalist of the worse type, a member of the don't eat, don't drink, don't think, don't screw portion of liberals. When he chose to be a Republican he joined the wrong party, he should have been a Democrat. He thinks that we should give Most Favored Nation to China despite the fact that they censor the internet in their country, and punish their citizens for speaking their minds, or worshipping any god but Mao. Some one pull McCain from Mao's feet and explain to him that Mao is dead, and was not a god.

We have seen his policies on Personal Freedoms, he supported the Patriot Acts. He is another psycho who thinks we need to be protected from ourselves, and that words are equal to actions. Words are not actions, punishing words is like executing some one for saying they wished some one dead, it's absurd.

No, the History of McCain's voting makes it clear that he is not a conservative, but a liberal parading around as a conservative. That he is a believer in big government, and that he thinks that Big Brother should be watching everyone.

Neither of these candidates embody the ideas our country was founded on. That all individuals are equal, and that all of them have inalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

What did you do with the stimulus check you got?
Made a payment to the collection agency that is on my ass for the $2,000+ I owe in medical bills from a surgery I had 2 years ago that should have been fully covered under my insurance policy but wasn't due to a filing error by a clerk in the billing dept. of the hospital. So, only about 6 more of those stimulus checks and I wont have any medical debt, god bless America. Thanks Nixon for privatizing healthcare back in the 60's, that rocked!

Joe lieberman is now an independent, a move that puts him halfway home. He is really a republican in sheeps clothing. I just get off pestering you with left wing bullshit. I'm not half as left as you believe. I believe people should earn their living, but that is hard to do when all the republican business owners have shipped all the jobs overseas. I believe in fairness in the workplace, but when a republican CEO makes from 500-1500 times as much money to eliminate jobs and crack the whip, I see no fairness. Yes I believe in the union for several reasons, most of them related to how the workers are paid and treated. I will concede that unions have been corrupt in the past and that union leaders are fat cats themselves. The company unions are paper tigers and never get enough for the workers. I also believe that laziness, tardiness, absence and other vices should not be tolerated on the worksite. I'm not your crying, send me welfare liberal, I'm a stand up for the little guy liberal that sees the opulance of the republican owners of the society and knows that the common man would be better served by a democratic president, with all their faults and criticisms. Now go pound sand!
Med do you think that maybe our insanely high taxes might have had to do with them leaving this country. Why would they want to bring money from exports back into this country when if they leave it outside this country it's not going to get taxed twice (income taxes in the country where it's earned and income taxes in the US (3x if you include capital gains tax)). Do you think that maybe the productive class is wondering why they should bother trying to get ahead when they are going to see more than half their income stolen in income taxes, property taxes, capitals gains taxes, payroll taxes, self-employment taxes, and then half of whatever's left stolen by the death tax?

What's the point of being in business in the US if you can escape double/triple taxation by keeping your foreign profits in the country where they are made? Or if you are a foreign corporation most governments don't tax your foreign income, only the US has that particular stupidity, so it's more competitive to be in foreign countries.

Those corporations don't hate Americans, they'd probably love to return here, but they aren't going to do it as long as they get it up the ass in the form of taxation so high that they can't compete with foreign corporations.

Have you seen the guys voting record, pro-abortion, pro-environmentalism, anti-individual freedoms, yeah, McCain is a liberal, so far to the left that instead of granting more rights he wants to restrict more rights.

He's anti-smoking, and he also wants to dictate what we eat, sounds like Michael Moore to me, another liberal. So, Yes, McCain is a Liberal.

Oh Bullshit! You're order of operations is all jacked up. Corporations moved overseas b/c Cambodian kids will work for 50cents a day. The high taxes came as a result of the corporations moving there business overseas which lead to record breaking profit margins and legal(ish) tax evasion.

No, the taxes came first, 1932, 73% Taxation, 1936, 91% Taxation, and the government got the great idea it could tax foreign income to.

And if you want to leave this country half your assets will be seized. The only thing the government wants is more money, and the only thing that government programs do is line the pockets of government employees.

Welfare, $80K spent for every $16K disbursed. That means $64K is vanishing to pay government employees. That's a mere 20% of collections, pretty sad imo.

Where do you get your information? You just spout stuff out without having any idea what you are talking about! Hopefully people will go to on the issues dot com before they believe BS like you're spouting on this thread. John McCain on the Issues

Supports abortion? Pro-life and an advocate for the Rights of Man everywhere. (Feb 2007, Supports repealing Roe v. Wade. (May 2007), Rated 0% by NARAL, indicating a pro-life voting record. (Dec 2003)

And, how are liberals opposed to individual freedoms? Liberals are the party FOR individual freedoms! Google the term liberal and/or liberal politics and look at the definitions you find. Here are some: liberal - definition of liberal by the Free Online Dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia.

I counted the word "FREE" at least half a dozen times.

Now I'm seriously going to get off of this forum and go get stoned. You go count your gold Mr. Burns.

So I made a small mistake, still insignificant compared to his stated policies which is something to the effects of forcing us to eat healthy, and not smoke.
Sounds like the same crap Democrats have been pushing for, and attacking corporations for.

It's your fault I'm fat...

Liberals just can't wrap their heads around the concept of personal responsibility, oh and that involuntary servitude is still involuntary servitude no matter how many people hold the whip, or how many people steal your labor.

Are you dyslexic? Did you read what I wrote from start to finish, left to right, top to bottom forming the letters into words, words into sentences? Your reply doesn't even remotely make sense and is completely out of context with what I wrote.

I find it so hard to understand why the majority of the U.S. hates Bush and the direction this country has taken since he became president... yet they are asking for MORE by voting for McCain. He is a Republican who has backed Bush on 90% of his decisions.

Today on CNN Bill Maher said it best. He said "Its like going to a restaurant and ordering a meal which tasted bad and made you sick... and then asking for seconds."

Exactly why I love the guy. He can put a situation like bush into a comical statement. Anyone voting for the Bush 3rd term must be a rich jerk off or fucking crazy. It actually makes no sense at all for the average family to vote McCain, totally insane. I'd bet the world is holding their breath watching the polls which I think are definently skewed in McSames favor. Please tell me there can't be that many crazy people, please!

Well what cracks me up is when a Republican takes that hand out, spends it yet makes fun of people on welfare. I'd have a lot more respect for them if they would have gave those checks back and standing by their ideals. Did they/ lol Hardly. They took the $$ and ran like the "little pigs" they make fun of. Fucking hypocrites.

Ya know, most people on welfare do not want to be on welfare. Oh, I know there are a few 'welfare queens', but the average person on welfare would love not to be on welfare. My dad screwed my mom over, divorced her, didn't pay alimony, never paid a dime of my child support. Had he been a real father, we wouldn't have needed welfare and food stamps. (I learned just this year that he died in the year 2000. Well, good riddance.) But as things were, often those were the only things standing between us and homelessness and/or starvation. And even so, there were days when we ate nothing, and weeks when we lived in a car. A Pinto, at that.

That upbringing is why I remain concerned for our poorest citizens, and why I am totally and utterly aghast that McCain's economic plan provides a massive $21 in annual tax relief to our poorest families, compared to Obama's $567. I mean, $21 is simply a flat-out fucking joke. Woohoo, an extra 6 cents a day, that's some serious relief. Save all that McCain tax relief up for two months and you could *almost* buy a gallon of gas.

But McCain also plans to give tax relief in the amount of $50,000+ per year to those making more than $600,000 per year. Yeah, those poor people can get by with 6 cents a day in relief, but the rich? They'd be getting $150 a *day* in tax relief. That seems a little...ridiculous. Is he just trying to kill off the poor? I mean, yeah, I understand, no poor person with an IQ over 85 would vote for a Republican anyway, unless they're hung up on a wedge issue, so killing them off would actually help his party.

But jeez, McCain's plan is just *so* cold-bloodedly slanted toward the wealthy that you just have to wonder, did they torture compassion out of him in Vietnam or what?
