nice thread idea. ive been reading rollitup for almost a year now and have seen you on here quite a bit, I just finally signed up for a profile (yes i run on stoner time)
anyways, when i read the contest I thought i ought to tell you about my first grow, then I decided it should be a poem, then I started writing and smoked like 4 spliffs
hope you like it!
im sitting here thinking
while my chronic is stinking,
i have not a piece
no place to burn my leaf
so i thought id write a sec
and try to gain a fellow grower's respect
because hes got glass,
and ive got a mound of hash
my buds are growin
inside of tables that are always ebbin and flowin
these days they grow so dense and tall
but check out this tale about last fall
twas the time i first tried to grow weed
and was treated to a journey of madness indeed
26 plants grew in my room
who knew that half would soon find thier tomb?
out of ignorance 9 suspected males were killed
though they were clones, our hindsight later revealed
the remaining plants grew, occasionally dealing with shock
our temps changed, and our manual light timing did suck
an unstable roommate, who then helped me cultivate
had mental issues, and started to hate
his "gardening gift" inspired him to sneak water and nutes
he was apparently thinking of things I just couldnt compute
he changed and got moody then one day did snap
and attacked me over dishes for maturity hows that?
i had to leave, give my girls a new home
so we loaded into my car, and went for a roam
(close your eyes and try to picture it: me and 17 LARGE ladies in my 86 toyota tercel hatchback at 2 am driving about 15 miles across town)
in house number two the girsl growth was from out of this land
the residents were impressed and wanted to expand
a large room we built, using deep water culture
little did i know, one of my partners was a vulture
he cut me clean out of the new plants in the name of cash
i taught him how to grow, and he stabbed me in the back
i called my old roomie just to check up on his ops
he had killed the 5 i left him, and told my new grow location to the cops
security was breached,and all of our plants to go
so i loaded my tercel and once again hit the road
inside of house 3 the girls got to mature
and grow sticky sweet buds that tasted so pure
i trimmed them one day, hung them on racks
sure theyd be there, in 3 days when i got back
(locked in a bathroom)
when i got returned, i thought it was a joke
my buds cut off colas by a guy who loves to do coke
wet weed was in bags, all cut off the stem
but the biggest nugs were all missing, taken by ben
he was punished for his judgment lapse
but thats done and in the past
all these issues taught me a lot
and now help me grow my pot
on smoothly i sail, atop a sea of green
only one problem aboard, theres no piece to be seen
until one (maybe?) arrives in the mail, ill just have to make do
and twist in a jiffy a wee little spliffy that i wish i could smoke with you
how inefficient they are on a lumens per watt basis.
