Have they given this bill a "Ballot Number" yet? I haven't seen too many updates since the original "Press Release". I want to print up some Tee-shirts that say "Vote yes on # (whatever)!", or something like that.

There will also be a referendum on medical marijuana in Arizona. If you live in either of these or other states trying to legalize in any form, please register and vote in November. We can make this happen.

The way it's written is ridiculous. You can have one ounce. How the fuck do you grow just one ounce? Am I supposed to set up some micro indoor grow and harvest 24 times a year? The way I read it, it will benefit the clubs and not the rest of us. It looks like a crock of shit to me, but I'll probably vote yes, as we have to start somewhere.

Ithought that it said you can have one ounce of dried usable smoke and up to 7 plants growing at a time....total so like 4 in veg 3 in flower and an ounce dried. That doesnt make much sense to me either i just dont understand what the hell im supposed to with the other 95% of my harvest.....

Yes, the bill is not ideal, but to say it doesn't benefit the average high Joe is kinda silly, right? I mean, right now, unless you're a medicinal user, you get no State protection. At least now (after the bill passes) you can't get arrested for having an ounce on you. I would say if your worried about it, and need to have more than what they limit, get a med card.

I mean, shit, there are gonna be plenty of issues with it, but it's better than it being completely illegal. Like DSM said, you gotta start from somewhere. Vote yes, and then support future bills that protect you even further.

1 OZ is what you can have on your person
you also get a 5 x 5 foot grow/drying/storage area, whatever you can grow and store in that area is OK
and these are state minimums, local governments can increase these numbers(not decrease)

Haha. In that case I'd just put my growspace in a room with 50' ceilings. Why the fuck would they want you to store your dry weed in a growroom?

good thought, this has been brought up as a 'loophole' in the bill, stack up your grow spaces to the clouds
so it's not real clear how that works out, in practice it would be inconvenient to go too tall
you dont' normally want to use your grow room to store/dry weed
so in practice you might have 4 x 4 of the space as a grow, 1 x 5 foot 'strips' as dry and store area
it's not ideal, but i could work with it considering i get a 0 x 0 legal grow area in NY

There seems to be alot of misunderstanding about this Bill. And the media, in general, isn't doing anything to make it more "understandable"! First of all there is that "One Ounce" issue.

One ounce is the minimum amount allowed to be legally carried by anyone over the age of 21, in any jurisdiction in the State of California. What that means is, even if "some local town" desides to keep the prohibition against cannabis (banning growing and selling), the State law would supercede and allow people in that town to carry and smoke "One Ounce". It is up to each town and city to regulate and tax cannabis as they see fit - or even keep it prohibited. But the State law will authorize adults to have at least "One Ounce", even in a "Dry" town. Most towns will undoubtably approve of the new law and allow more than "One Ounce" to be carried. We'll just have to see how this thing "plays out"!

I was told it is AB2254
Thanks for that! I think AB2254 (Assembly Bill 2254) is the "Name" it's given while it raises up through the ranks of the California Legislature, prior to actually finding it's way to the general public election in November. On the ballot, in November, it should be called "Proposition 420-A" (or whatever number is appropriate).

who needs more than an oz on them im public if there not selling in the first place................. azzzzz long az the most of ur stash stays at ur house everything should be cool, no matter which way this legalization goes.. they couldent stop us from haveing a certaint amount before, so i think that they might relax on the amount in your personal stash
