Neighbors suck!

Hope you have a long growing season for the Seedsman NL! Those gals are so slow to mature.
Well I am usually good into first week or 2 of September... But I was going to start them indoors around 1st week of May. How many weeks do they need to finish?

I don't know yet, but here's one at 75 days from seed:

It's insane how long it's taking. I was just talking in another thread that I'm thinking of pulling the one that hasn't started flowering yet because I'm not sure if have the patience for it haha. I could grow a Mephisto plant from seed to finish before it's done. And after talking to a few other members of the forum here that's kind of the consensus, it's not just an anomaly. I wouldn't be shocked if this thing goes 18 weeks or more.

Let it grow... You might be surprised by the finish...

I think the one you are growing may be An anomaly. I had 2 outside last year and although the slugs and snails destroyed them... They were going to finish in an acceptable time frame.

Word. If it was just my plant I'd agree but I've spoken to a few growers in person and on the forum here and it seems the NL auto frequently runs long. But I also wouldn't be shocked of you have an entirely different experience than us!

This Spring, actually February 4, I started some autoflowers, as well as a sampling of photoperiod plants. Now that I'm two months into this grow, one thing is obvious: The autos are really small, and the photoperiods are growing a lot faster, with much more biomass. We are growing in fabric pots, Coast of Maine Stonington Mix, and full spectrum LEDS. The pictured plant is 42Fast Buds "LSD-25." Here we are, two months into the grow, and it's only 10" tall. First shot of whole plant is from a week ago. Yesterday I noticed the top bud is growing a bit, so I did a close up. I love the color and the frosting, but I don't like the size. I also have some 42FastBuds "Tangiematic." Started a little later, but the same deal, very small plants, 8" after nine weeks, just beginning to flower. Do autoflower "explode" with growth going down the home stretch? If not, these autoflowers are going to be duds in terms of yield. Also started Mandalorian Genetics "Anvil F6." I didn't notice they were "regular" seeds, and the first four out of five were males. The lone female has yet to bud.
Meanwhile, back at the photoperiod ranch the Brothers Grimm "G-13 Genius" and Mass Medical's "PuTang" are healthy and vigorous, a lot taller and bushier, too. So it's not a matter of soil or lights, because the photoperiods are really thriving. Mandalorian's spiel says, "Several test plants have yielded in the 1 lb. + per plant in the correct care and environment." I will be rotating through my autoflower seed stock over the coming months. Hopefully, I'll come across something that grows big and fast. Just to repeat my question: Do autoflower "explode" with growth going down the home stretch? Thanks.

That auto definitely flowered early. I'd just pull it. Happened to my Somangos earlier this year, apparently because I did y pot up quick enough. But from what I've read it can happen for a variety of reasons.

How much of that tall plant's growth was in the last three weeks? Very nice looking!
Not a lot really it stayed that big and all the bud sites just got bigger and bigger. Once it hit flower it did most of its stretch then, but that plant was really vigorous in its vegetive stage. Happy frog soil, added perlite and wormcasting, once it hit flower it got some 4-8-4 down to earth and just water the whole time. I’m sure I coulda pushed the big plant to yield more but I grow for myself so I don’t worry about yield.

Just put my beans in water for a 24 hour soak. I ordered from Nirvana. Growing Master Kush, an auto named Lemon OG Haze, and some beans from last year, Raspberry Kush. I'm way up north in NY State, 800 ft above sea level, short growing season. Most strains will mold here in late September, so I sometimes have to finish up in my barn under a HPS light.

I got some seed starter mix, dr earth dry fertilizer, and worm castings all from home depot. I am going to see what kind of plant I can grow just using items from home depot. I am going to try growing at least 2 or 3 of my next indoor plants using these items. I would really like to find a good cheap soil or items to make my own soil from walmart or home depot so I don't have to drive and hour and a half to the closest hydro store to buy $25/ bag potting soil.
I once used plain old soil and mixed in blood and bone meal. They were fire!! It was a blueberry strain, and I never added any other nutrients. The strain dictates what you need to add based on it's vegetative state. You can tell if they need nitrogen, cal mag and phos, etc...There is a ton of information on this site, have used it for years. Weed is just that, a weed, give it love and it will grow! BTW, I have used everything from Home Depot in my first grows and they turned out fine!

Once I get a more permanent grow space, I'll make my own fem seeds and I'll try growing with some pretty cheap soils and mixes to see what the difference is...
