I've had 14 mephisto seeds in a row that didn't sprout or died because the case wouldn't come off... I keep them cool in my refrigerator so I don't know what is going on...
Best thing is to leave it alone. If you pry off the outer husk the inner one seems to lock up. Just spritz it with water and keep everything damp. The shell will eventually fall off on its own.

Explain please
You can crack the seeds on their natural split line with a little pinch, people have been making tools to do just that but you can do it with your hand and finger nails. The one simple tek I saw; someone had an adjustable wrench and used the barrel that adjusts the wrench size to tighten down on a seed until it split; you want to line up the seam to take all the pressure and it will split open right on that natural seam.

I make my own sees so I'm dissecting and experimenting on them all the time. I have taken immature seeds that are still fresh and removed their failed shell and grown the embryo inside. There can be a living embryo in those immature seeds but their shell will allow them to die quite rapidly.

Back to the point, you hear a little click when you pinch them and you've split the shell, you don't have to remove it, the seed can handle the rest. I carefully pry the little embryo out of the shell and drop it on the surface, water and then lock the humidity in, they are fun to watch.

Finally managed to grab some!

Went for Fugue state, Ripleys OG (@MATTYMATT726 suggestion) and AvT

Let’s see what all the fuss is about :D
Congrats! You picked some of their best stuff, for sure!

I don't know why, but they often have different releases in different regions. Today's US release does not have Fugue State, we had that weeks ago and I missed it. Each week there are either no strains or maybe one strain I'm interested in, Fugue State was one I really wanted. In my opinion, it's an amazing genetic combination, especially since the person I grow for likes extra potent Sativa dominant strains. I look forward to growing it someday, I hope you'll let us know how that one goes.

Damn. I'll have to grab it next time
The only strain that I've grown so far with that taste/smell was their Chemdogging. That shit was strong as well, but more balanced. Double Grape(ironically has no grape smell) also has a kind of woody/earth/smoke? kind of smell to it. Ripley's was so strong pine/lemon smelling there was no mistaking it. Strong but pleasant. Probably the best smelling weed I've ever had imo and I've had other pine stuff. It's well worth the grow. It checks the boxes in high, yeild, taste/smell imo. Definitely get her and you won't regret it.

Nah. It's an Alien OG. 100% pine sol/lemon plesge cleaner taste/smell.
I just chopped an outdoor Ripley's; I can vouch for the strong pine smell though mine did not carry a strong citrus smell. It put on a good amount of weight (branches sagging), but it was the only one of the four I ran that didn't fill out density-wise. The resin looks nice, the buds are plenty sticky, but the buds are a little looser than the super orange haze, mango sky f1, and forum stomper x samsquanch OG f1 (all of which are nice and tight when squeezed).

I had to look them up, but yeah they're 3 gallons. I'll use larger pots the next time I run some, but this was a relatively quick flip while the photos are vegging.
I asked because I have some in 3 gal square pots, was curious to see how rootbou

Nah. Fugue State seems to be pretty popular on the Sativa side of their strains. Walter White x Amnesia Haze makes for a frosty soaring plant. I've got them plus a Indica pheno pack they gave a s freebies in 18' I've been wanting to try.
