Internet trolls and types.

I'm confused also.
Allow me to fill you in a bit. LUDACRIS was a guy/girl from scotland who claims to know 'everything about growing' (his words, not mine). He was my first friend when I signed up here at RIU. He told me he had been growing for over 10 years and oversaw multiple grow houses and didn't have to grow his own shit anymore. If you look at some of his first posts when he joined, he is obviously one of the most clueless noobs in history. Nothing wrong with that but when you claim to be God's gift to the indoor marijuana grow scene..................Anyways, he got me and several others banned. One guy he got banned, ROBINBANKS, kept coming back under new names for several months just to fuck with LUDA. He told fdd or some other mods that I was creating multiple accounts in order to harass him which is why I was banned. Well, I got my account back and when I came back I tried to steer clear of him but he kept on posting after me in threads and making rude comments and what not. He ended up getting banned and went to another forum and was banned within 3 days of joining that forum. He admitted to being a cop at this other forum which was interesting because ROBINBANKS, who was another scottish grower claimed he knew who LUDA really was and that he had snitched on a mutual friend. Since then he's come back here creating different accounts only to start shit with other members and get banned again. I'm leaving a lot out because there's just too much shit that he did to post.:blsmoke:

Thanks a lot for that. I've been reading through different threads and was starting to see a pattern. Great, a soap opera! Lol. I think I just liked this a bit more. +rep

Moderated Bulletin Boards have pretty much killed the Troll. There were much better "bridges" to hide under, and harass hapless passerby back in the days of Usenet forums. The end of that heyday was pretty much the year 2000. The modern day "troll" is nothing more than a pathetic wannabe. It is fucking pointless to be a Troll nowadays.
This is very true and now you can see who is trolling.

There are different reasons why people troll/stalk others. there are 3 main types of stalkers and their personality disorders that they suffer from and this link explains the 3 types of disorders/stalkers and trolls and why people do what they do due to their own personal disorders.

i think the whole irony of it is the whole speculation (which i am admittedly contributing to) fuels the troll. i mean, for all i know this entire thread could be the same guy with multiple screen names having a big fat conversation with himself and i am taking the bait. but sometimes it's just so hard to keep it to yourself, and so the cycle continues. i once tried to reason with an crackhead using words. LOL! you live, you learn. then you get luv's.

Types of stalkers.

Psychologists often group individuals who stalk into two categories: psychotic and nonpsychotic.[11] Many[quantify] stalkers have pre-existing psychotic disorders such as delusional disorder, schizoaffective disorder, or schizophrenia. Most stalkers are nonpsychotic and may exhibit disorders or neuroses such as major depression, adjustment disorder, or substance dependence, as well as a variety of Axis II personality disorders (such as antisocial, avoidant, borderline, dependent, narcissistic, or paranoid). Some of the symptoms of "obsessing" over a person is part of obsessive compulsive personality disorder. The nonpsychotic stalkers' pursuit of victims can be influenced by various psychological factors, including anger, hostility, projection of blame, obsession, dependency, minimization, denial, and jealousy. Conversely, as is more commonly the case, the stalker has no antipathic feelings towards the victim, but simply a longing that cannot be fulfilled due to[clarification needed] either in their personality or their society's norms.[12]

In "A Study of Stalkers" Mullen et al.. (2000)[9][13] identified five types of stalkers:

Rejected stalkers.

pursue their victims in order to reverse, correct, or avenge a rejection (e.g. divorce, separation, termination).

Resentful stalkers.

pursue a vendetta because of a sense of grievance against the victims – motivated mainly by the desire to frighten and distress the victim.

Intimacy seekers.

seek to establish an intimate, loving relationship with their victim. To them, the victim is a long-sought-after soul mate, and they were 'meant' to be together.
Incompetent suitors, despite poor social or courting skills, have a fixation, or in some cases a sense of entitlement to an intimate relationship with those who have attracted their amorous interest. Their victims are most often already in a dating relationship with someone else.

Predatory stalkers.

spy on the victim in order to prepare and plan an attack – usually sexual – on the victim.
The 2002 National Victim Association Academy defines an additional form of stalking: The vengeance/terrorist stalker. Both the vengeance stalker and terrorist stalker (the latter sometimes called the political stalker) do not, in contrast with some of the aforementioned types of stalkers, seek a personal relationship with their victims but rather force them to emit a certain response favourable to the stalker. While the vengeance stalker's motive is "to get even" with the other person whom he/she perceives has done some wrong to them (i.e., an employee who believes is fired without justification from their job by their superior), the political stalker intends to accomplish a political agenda, also using threats and intimidation to force his/her target to refrain and/or become involved in some particular activity, regardless of the victim’s consent.[14]

Many stalkers[quantify] fit categories with paranoia disorders. Intimacy-seeking stalkers often have delusional disorders involving erotomanic delusions. With rejected stalkers, the continual clinging to a relationship of an inadequate or dependent person couples with the entitlement of the narcissistic personality, and the persistent jealousy of the paranoid personality. In contrast, resentful stalkers demonstrate an almost “pure culture of persecution,” with delusional disorders of the paranoid type, paranoid personalities, and paranoid schizophrenia.[13]

One of the uncertainties in understanding the origins of stalking is that the concept is now widely understood in terms of specific behaviors[15] which are found to be offensive and/or illegal. As discussed above, these specific (apparently stalking) behaviors may have multiple motivations.

In addition, the personality characteristics that are often discussed as antecedent to stalking may also produce behavior that is not stalking as conventionally defined. Some research suggests there is a spectrum of what might be called "obsessed following behavior." People who complain obsessively and for years, about a perceived wrong or wrong-doer, when no one else can perceive the injury—and people who cannot or will not "let go" of a person or a place or an idea—comprise a wider group of persons that may be problematic in ways that seem similar to stalking. Some of these people get extruded from their organizations—they may get hospitalized or fired or let go if their behavior is defined in terms of illegal stalking. But many others do good or even excellent work in their organizations and appear to have just one focus of tenacious obsession.[16] Some other research demonstrates that injustice can lead to determination on part of a victim to overcome the injustice, the perpetrator then blames the victim as having a psychological disorder for not letting go of the quest to overcome the injustice [17]

The best thing to do is just ignore people if you are unsure of the person posting and think about yourself. Never feed trolls by responding to them as thats just what they want and the more you learn to ignore things/trolls/stalkers the worse it is for them as they will persist with their actions and get no feed back this makes them furious and you are the stronger person in control of the situation as they will soon go away and never let other people control your emotions. You cant really reason with trolls as this fuels their fire for that missing link in their mental make up so its best to avoid them and say nothing. You feel you have to respond to trolls but if you dont then you will be much happier knowing you have beat them by not feeding them and they soon disappear.

I wasn't here during that time, and it kind of sucks that I missed it, but...

Here's some troll food... I'm offended that someone would take that name and misrepresent it from the real Luda, as that's not what he's about, and he keeps it real. People around here (around DFW) cherish the one and only Ludacris.

(that) Being said, trolls can only offend people who are too touchy and sensitive (not a judgment, because it's me sometimes). It's the fucking internet. Yes, it's not hard to find someone who disagrees with you. The interwebs is the greatest equalizer anyone in history has ever experienced. Democracy at it's finest yet.

I <3 trolls.

They are an attraction. Scandal garners attention. Arguing is lovely.

This thread is pretty funny. The irony is fucking killing me!

interesting read,

hey Doc111, I didn't know you got banned. I must've missed that thread.
Yeah, it happened about a year ago when that shit with ROBINBANKS was going on. Luda started an argument with me about something (I don't even remember what it was about now). I was frustrated and took the bait. lol! That next morning I logged on and I had a pm from Luda apologizing and wanting to bury the hatchet. I was actually in the middle of typing my response to him and I was automatically logged out and there was a message saying something like "You have been banned for creating multiple accounts to harass other users." WTF?????? I had only ever created ONE account so I was a little confused. It took about a month but I got my account back. When I came back I avoided Luda like the plague. After a couple of days he pm's me again wanting to be friends again and he says he had nothing to do with the ban. WTF????? I never accused him of anything. lol! Why would you say something like that if nobody had accused you? Anyways, I started paying real close attention to Ludas posts and noticed he was starting fights with other users almost every night. I realized that karma would take care of Luda so I just sat back and enjoyed the show. I was right because he was banned within 2 weeks of me getting my account back.

This is very true as people are so quick to assume things/point the finger and say things they cant prove.
This is connected to jealous stalkers who just want to cause trouble for people they dont know by making false allegations.
