the best deal is to begin with 600w hps! the
plants love it! just put the 
2feet away from the seedlings and you need a proper ventilation directly into the ! that's all! you will see turbo boost grow!

sounds pretty average for start up cost I think right now im around 1500.... but I did build my cab myself...

Yeah you do have to admit that it will save you in the long run.
I mean it's a hell of a lot better than buying from a shady dealer (If you are in the US that is). And you know it will be good if you do it yourself!
I used to to live in England and I had it lucky back then. So close to Amsterdam, and I never had any trouble with police.
Here, they will break down your door and point a gun in your face because of a plant!?!?!?

. i am fannying about with energy savin fluros and "protecting " my seedlings from my 600w hps! although my reflector isnt vented. and i too have spent enough (says mrs rixxy24). so ill just keep my light away from burning eh? in a tent, vented etc. is that ok guys? doing autos ? all input welcome.
