Complete noob? Hardly. 5 years experience is not a complete noob.

Incidentally, the flower in that pic was AK47 that foxtailed. It was 21 grams dry. Might not be the prettiest one youve ever seen, but i dont know why looks would matter or how you can control looks as a grower. Maybe you might know more about controlling looks than i do being the super all knowing grower that you are.

Anyway...your attack is typical.. if the jackals on this site. When you cant intimidate sombody to share your opinion then attack his credibility. But you do so in a manner that is not only obvious but also infantile...and the result is thatvyou undermine your own credibility chuckey eztevez....
I'm sorry, that is the ugliest bud for a grower with 5 years experience. the looks of that bud tells me you don't know shit, you use it as your avatar, it is your prize bud and it is shit, BRO.
in 5 years, you never even made a clone, so, just STFU noob

There was a time when science said the earth was flat and that the sun revolved around the earth. And that was obvious to everybody and everybody agreed. Then a guy came along and questioned that science. He dug a little deeper and found that was wrong. And the closed minds of the day ridiculed and marginalized him. Imprisoned him. They almost killed him.

Maybe the science says flushing can't do anything. But yet hundreds and maybe thousands of growers say this isn't true. So why not dig a little deeper and see what science might be behind that? Maybe there's more to it? Maybe the science isn't complete.

Why is it so hard to believe that the last watering, a good one of only water, leaches out a good bit of stuff, good with bad? And enough to make a difference in taste? In my opinion that taste is better. It may not be yours, but why be so desperate to convince me, and so many others, that this isn't true? So desperate as to threatened and ridicule? Really?

If you want to talk science... then what does transpiration do? When I transpire during a hard day's work after I've drink a good bit of whiskey I can smell the booze. Same with garlic. That shit comes out the pores. And water helps with that. And when it's gone I'm sure I smell better. Maybe not to some. Maybe some like the smell of garlic and whiskey with sweat. But most don't. So why wouldn't a plant transpire out some of the chemical nutes? Why wouldn't a flush leech out the salts and such in the soil so that it can't uptake as much during it's last days of transpiration? Maybe such doesn't leech out all the bad shit, but it does do a lot. Enough to make the bud smoke and taste better, in my opinion. And after 35+ years of smoking bud from all over the world my taste for weed is well refined and that makes my opinion worth considering.

My growing skills may not be the best, as I am just learning. But I've been around the weed all my long life, longer than most in this forum have been alive. Take that for what it is worth. And in all that time I have never known a single grower that could control the appearance of his buds. And to ridicule a guy over one, a single one in a picture, and then judge his skills in growing over that proves only one thing - that person is moron.

And just remember... I never tried to convince anyone of anything here. I just have maintained that in my experience, flushing 4 or five days before chop, makes a difference in bud taste and burn. And for those who don't share that opinion I only asked they try the experiment and then decide. After 35+ years of smoking weed, I know what quality weed is and isn't and at least I know I can grow as good or better weed than anything that can be bought around here at a decent price.

because you can't read? Did your mom leave and can't read to you anymore?
because you are a noob who has never even made a clone, let alone grown decent weed, I'm not interested in anything you have to say. probably just you whining about your shitty bud anyway

I cure and dry at the same time meaning i trim my buds wet place them on screens in a dark room with fans lightly blowing around them as to not disturb buds to much just a nice even soft wind,,
I maintain temps 60 - 65 max RH 55 - 60 to insure a nice slow dry
After 5 days on screens , by this time outsides of buds are dry .....
Stage 2
i then place all buds into a big garbage bag carefully pressing out the air i twist bag and let it stand for 6 - 10 hrs Again in a dark place no fans needed only darkness and 60"s temps
I call this the sweating stage , where all the moisture from inside the bud gets forced outwards to outside dry buds its usually i leave it for 7 hrs
this is also good for the smaller buds that dried to fast compared to others moisture is given back to them a win win
so moving on i place all buds again onto screens carefully with same temps and 55 / 60" RH i dry them for 8 - 12 hrs
from there they are weight into half pound bags and burped daily and honestly ready to be smoked and enjoyed

PS you can use a totes for stage 2 cover it to sweat buds etc

Now i am starting to get tired of trying to help new growers who claim they are experienced etc
same thing applies for really stupid threads like this
If you say your experienced then you should no that as you progress late in flower lowering and keeping a well balanced diet will insure good yields and best possible THC
hammer your plants ( Force feed ) your plants with your liquid Karma lol and you will pay the price ,, flushing is one of them myths out there that somehow magically appeared into the MJ seen shit think about it some stoned nit wit came up with this no Science whats so ever so sure it made sense but when you break it down ..
When your not stoned it all comes together , and the truth is sometimes less = more i have always used the 4 day cycle
Day 1 Feed small amount
Day 2 water small amount
Day 3 mist spray plants
Day 4 smoke a joint
Day 5 Feed all in small amounts
To combat possible salt build up which i never encounter this way
a person could flush his plants just to be on the safe side week prior going into flower and at this stage catching run off and measuring PH , and ppm of run off this will give you a great idea on how your feeding went
Adjust accordingly next veg grow by either adding more nutrients or more water

When Transitioning to Flower use both of your Veg and bloom nutes at the beginning
for instance
Week one of flip
75 percent veg nutes 25 percent bloom nutes 60 - 70 RH
week 2 50 / 50

week 3 75 percent Bloom nutes 25 percent veg 60 RH

Week 4 half way point 100 percent bloom nutes 60 RH 850 - 950

week 5 bloom nutes / and zinc and iron foliage spray make sure you have good wind movement in room to And de humidifier 50 - 60

week 6 and so on 2 - 3 weeks from finishing woo hoo plants are green buds are growing life is good
55- 60 RH 750 - 850 ppm
week 7 650 - 700 ppm

week 8 550 - 650 ppm and that is it :)gallery_11738_4816_67451.jpggallery_11738_4815_3838235.jpg gallery_11738_4815_996222.jpg

The science of flushing is on Chuck's side. He knows this. Those of us that have read this same thread 100 times over know it. It just hasn't been dropped into this flushing thread yet. Go back and read a few older threads on flushing and know the trap you are walking into. :bigjoint:

Oh this is rich, We have been fighting with a complete NOOB, he has never even made a clone https://www.rollitup.org/t/today-is-the-day.884712/ I'm more disappointed in myself for fighting with a fucking rookie that doesn't know shit and is still wearing diapers in the growing world.
Well Chuck, you got trolled into the fight and came in swinging, with actual facts. You and Homebrewer both have been like two tiny salmon swimming upstream against against a torrent of Internet Disinformation. Personally I gave up on this site a couple years ago. The ridiculous shit spewed forth herewithin is astounding. I am coming into this with 7 years of "Higher level education" (maybe pun intended) revolving around silviculture, agriculture, soil science and land management, and 30 years actual experience in the field of making green things grow.

So let them blather on about flushing, and pHing runoff water in soil, coating breakage damage with honey, and hanging mystic crystals over your "babies" during the full moon. This is after all, a cosmic and mysterious plant that defies the principles of botany, let alone science.

Quebed ??? how hard is it to believe that after you smoke a nice fatty the THC will stay in your system for 4 -to over 60 days ??? in extreme cases if we take this concept and put it into plant perspective we should start flushing right from the start of bloom i think you should do that personally
when you eat a potato how much phos do you think is in it ??? vegetables ???
apples or any fruit they are in it that is the driving force of life all life
Also being your such a pro and your buddies you say that can taste a difference can i ask you what does N taste like ??? what does P taste like or K
Seriously give your head a shake and smarten the hell up i look at that so called 21 gram bud fluffy bud that looks like it was grown under CFL shit i know not a T5 so pretty sure CFL cause T5 's buds would look a hell of a lot better ,, and i ask my self WTF dude C grade weed and your fighting over taste dude that is the last worry you should be worrying about seriously
learn to grow weed first , yield will come second then quality as you perfect your environment and growing skills you sir are still on the first stage learning how to grow weed and 5 years now ???
I suggest you lay off the smoke and look for some other hobby owe and here a T5 grow lol you see a difference lol gallery_11738_4816_17019.jpg

Man RIU has really gone down hill. So many childish members here.

I've been doing this for over a decade. I don't flush be it hydro or soil. My product tastes good and the dry and cure is what makes it smooth. Flushing is a myth IMO.

Whether or not my methods are agreed upon doesn't mean someone else is a "noob" or shitty grower.

Some of you need to grow up a bit.
