So... about a week ago I sowed a new batch for veg room. All good except one plant that had a seed covering issue. I waited about two days to see if the covering would shed but that never happened and finally i decided to moisten the covering with a lil bit of its own medium for like about 10 minutes and then removed the covering.

These are the photos of the day i removed the cover (with and without)

and this is a photo a few days later, and a comparison with its sisters (the sick one is top right as you can see)..... im thinking, it will not survive. It was a shame because it was a cross I had expectations of, but at this point not sure if its just wasting space.

If I have the room I let them grow. If you need the space kill it. My experience with runts is they usually catch up. Best of luck on this.

The shell not coming of has held it back I think it'll be fine.
2-3 days growth is a lot at that age.

Give it 7-10 days you'll never know.

My best looking outdoor plant now was a tiny runt that almost died as a seedling in Feb. Glad I kept it, it caught up to the others and then some. Give it a chance if you have the room.
