Is MagicMushroomkit.ca legit?

I just noticed that they updated their website, they don't accept orders or ship to the US. You'd have to be cray to ship this stuff to Americans. We had a guy called Marc Emery, here in Vancouver Canada, He was a huge activist for legalizing marijuana, selling marijuana seeds has always been legal in Canada, but he made the mistake of shipping to US buyers. His business was mail order marijuana seeds. He often bragged in the media that he made a million dollars a year selling marijuana seeds, he even paid all his taxes.

He had a great thing going, until the Americans came over here and dragged his ass back to the US, where was tried and thrown in prison. Americans have crazy laws and crazy lunatics like Trump, who want's to do business with that, lol.

If you do use a kit I suggest prepping and doing grain transfer as soon as your kit arrives. Then your loaded and ready to go for round two. You can pretty much go perpetually from a starter kit.

Just want to give you guys an update. www.magicmushroomkit.ca is not a scam. When Covid first hit many months ago, I ordered a kit on their site. I guess everyone got the same idea and my kit took 3 weeks to get here, probably due to Canada Post overload due to Covid19. When I received the original Mega-You-Grow Magic Mushroom kit, it wasn't very fresh. I didn't have any time as I was expecting it to arrive earlier, I put the seeds in the fridge for a couple of weeks, the kit said use within one month or asap. So, this kit with the straw was a lot of work, the straw is bulky and you have to have a huge pot to boil all the straw in one shot. I got fungus gnats flying around in the dome, after 3 months of effort got nothing for my money and trouble. But wait, there's more, lol.

When I got in touch with them (www.magicmushroomkit.ca), they sent me a replacement kit, but they decided to send me the Coco Kit with four plastic containers instead of the original straw kit. As you can see from the pics, it worked out really well. It was much easier than the straw kit, this kit includes a five-gallon pale to mix it all up. You boil 4 liters of bottled water or I used my reverse osmosis filtered tap water, regular chlorinated tap water not recommended! Followed the instructions, added the Coco brick , the vermiculite, and the boiling water to the bucket, while the seeds waited in the fridge. Then, I put the lid on (provided) and mixed it up a bit, but it was really hot, so I waited until the next day for it to be cooled, then I shook the bucket really well. Then, I added the seeds from the fridge, mixed it all up again. Then I divided the contents of the bucket into the four plastic containers. I put the lids on the four containers (provided) and I put them in a dark closet for 15 days, never even looked at them. I have limited space, so I put two of the plastic containers in the bathroom under a light and switched the other two containers every 12 hours. Twelve hours of darkness, 12 hours of light. Oh yeah, before you put them in the light, you have to remove the lids from the plastic containers and put each one in a plastic bag and tie the top with a twist tie.

As you can see by the pics, it all worked out well. Had so many shrooms I wasn't sure what to do with them all, but since they are 90% water, they shrunk quite a bit when I dried them out, lol. I made some desiccant by cooking Epsom salt and adding it to the bottom of the air tight jars to store the shrooms long term after they were dried.

I can honestly say that www.magicmushroomkit.ca is not a scam and I highly recommend the Coco Kit, didn't care much for the straw kit. Check out the pics. Got 100's of shrooms out of it, lol.

Definitely not a scam!
Thanks ! will them them a look see Peace ------------ seem that this is hard to do "mushrooms" ? any good info on how to ? Thanks

Yes I agree, the site is not a scam. When I purchased the original Mega-You-grow kit with the straw, I didnt have much success, but much to their credit, they sent me a replacement kit. They chose to send me the Coco kit instead. I'm starting on my third flush and I've never grown shrooms before. Not sure what I'm going to do to with all these shrooms, but I definately recommend their coco kit, much easier, faster, and lot's of shrooms, lol.

It was my first time, I struck out with the straw kit, but then I contacted them and they sent me a replacement kit. I recommend the Coco kit because it is easier, faster, and lot's of shrooms. You better figure out how to dry them because they need to be kept very dry to last a long time. By the way, don't bother eating them fresh (undried). I ate about 20 and they didn't do much to me, but when they had dried, I was surprised at the difference, at one point I thought I was on an acid trip, lol. Don't take them too late in the day, or you'll be up all night, lol.

Yes, it just keeps on going. My first flush I thought the shrooms were small, so I waited for them to gorw bigger and all the caps opened. They say the potency is a bit lower if you wait until after the veil opnes under the cap. But honestly, I think I reseeded the patty and got much bigger shrroms on the second flush, thicker trunks, they looked like penises when I picked them, lol. I haven't tried any of them yet, still drying and the first flush was strong enough for me, lol.

Another user Voodu did a really good review of their regular kit with great results (60+ grams dry). I just ordered the Coco refill kit and will just buy bins locally. Cut the cost by a bunch and probably make shipping smoother. What size are the containers they provide DJCA?

Four containers that are about 4X8, with lids about 2 inches deep maybe 3. I got a lot of flushes out of them. Each time the shrooms got bigger. I've got quite a bite of it in the freeer, after drying them real good, crispy dry. I had not tried srhromms before, but my impression is that they have a very strong anti depression effect on the brain, but with a twist, a little more jacked. I personally take very low doses, but I find it can mess with your sleeping patterns. Hard to go to sleep when you don't feel tired, lol.The next day is a different story, lol.

Nice to hear you had good yields.

Heads up to anyone deciding to order from these folks. They ship ONCE a week, seems like Thursdays. They use Canada Post Expedited and can take a week in Canada to arrive. My kit came last Wednesday. 650g of coir, 200g of vermiculite, 4 fruiting bags, gloves and spawn. Spawn looked awesome and had a nice earthy smell to it. I bought plastic shoeboxes from HomeDepot 8 for $8.88 and a nice bucket and lid for $10. Soaked coir/verm in boiling water overnight, mixed it after a couple hours and in the am. Wiped everything down with 70% Iso. Gently broke up spawn, mixed it in and filled 4 shoeboxes lidded them and into an opaque bin in a 25-26c room. Leave them be until the 26th now.

12 days since spawn and substrate went to bed. Things looked pretty good (maybe could have left them a bit longer, I expect I will be told) so set them up to fruit today. MagicMushroom kit comes with grow bags and twist ties. That seemed too fussy so I rolled the tops down and used bulldog clips. I did two of the shoe boxes with the grow bags and I did two as dub tubs with a similar number of holes drilled in the sides of the "domes". 20210126_101416_2.jpg

I just finished harvesting my first flush today, I chose the coco kit from magicmushroomgrowkit.ca. I yielded about 40g dry for just the first flush, and followed the instructions pretty exactly. I had one of the four bins get contaminated with some blue green mould looking stuff so theoretically that yield is 75% of what could have been if I was stupid and put my houseplants too close to them.
Now I'm waiting for my second flush after soaking the cakes in distilled water for about 6 hours then draining them off and putting them back in the grow bags.
Let me know how yours goes and how your modified set up works! Especially interested in if you notice a difference between the bags or tub-on-tub thing you got going on.

Hey stina! Fellow Ontarian just east of you. I bought one of their kits and reading the instructions it seemed like a bit of an effort but executing it turned out to be pretty easy and mostly hands off. What about it is turning you off after you decided to jump in? These are pics of where my kit is at as of today, 9 days into fruiting first flush. 20210204_151353.jpg20210204_125415 reduced.jpg

Last update on MegaYouGrow. 752g wet, in the dehydrator now expecting ~56g net net. Will use the bags from the kit for rest of flushes along with the two shoebox dub tubs I made. The mushrooms in the bags started quicker and two of the largest mushrooms came from them but the dub tubs got better coverage and more consistent size. Pic attached from before this mornings harvest, had picked some last night and probably should have picked them all to avoid an untidy spore dump. Mush love all.20210207_073135 small.jpg

Everybody starts somewhere, kits come with colonized spawn which is a big jump start and confidence boost. Three flushes complete 100+g dry, I'm quite happy for the $150C it cost me. Thanks for the offer but I did just fine for my second grow - 16 quart jars colonizing now with 4 different strains. 24 jars $19.98, 20lbs rye $22, 650g coir blocks 3/$9.99 x 8, 14l verm $15.98, 1lb gypsum $6.99 no tax, delivered. Canadian Tire 60qt tub x 4 @ $10.97 ea. Already own a PC.

Mush love.
