Is this a Hermie and should I kill it?

Hey amigo I just posted up too asking if I had a hermie or not and so far I was told no because what I thought was a seed had hairs and seeds won't grow hairs. You can compare from my pictures. As far.yours I'm thinking of is a hermy but I'm not positive. And if it is. I used dutch master reverse foliar spray before on a hermy and it stopped producing seeds and only bud and it still came out pretty good View attachment 2983375View attachment 2983376

Looks like a pollen sack. Rip off what you see currently and give her a little more time. A tiny bit of hermie in one plant really isnt gonna hurt you. Unless your a breeder or have tons and tons of plants I would let it go and see what developes. But on the other hand if you dont really care about individual plants and throw away weaklings and such.... kill it. But most people asking that question are usually still attached to each plant

It's relly up to you on what you're gonna do with him. Having a few seeds in your weed isn't going to hurt it. If anything it could give you several nice new seeds to go with. I've had seeds sprouting while the weed was still hanging. Those are the ones you wanna plant:)

Wait to "rip it off"
Sometimes new leaf growth will look hermie esk at this time of age of your plant....
So wait....
Hermie takes a few more days-week-21 days for male part to become viable...
Then Male pollen would need to be transferred to a Bud...
Then that bud would need to make a seed... 12-27 days...

So killing off what might not be a hermie at this time...

just chill and wait a bit...

First let me debunk the "hermie" myth for you...there are very few "real hermies" out there...what you have is a bunch of newbies (no offense) stressing their plants to the point of self pollination, and not getting good advice as too why...well, I'll tell ya...it's because you guys are hearing that "you have to do this and you have to do that" so you try it all, and when it comes time to flower that poor girl don't know what to think, so she does what comes natural, she self pollenates...it's from over feeding/watering, under feeding/watering, changing their environment every other day, and then stressing it by putting it in flower to see if she lives through 8 more weeks...lol...I know I've done it...I'm cloning a Blue Rhino from my first grow, she "self pollenated" on me, I blamed it on a "hermie"...I'm still growing that strain and she hasn't "hermied/self pollenated" on me since I learned to read my plants and not mess with them so much...remember, LESS IS REALLY MORE...it took me awhile to learn it...good luck...

And... If there is no bud to pollinate you can not get seeds...
Make more sense to wait?

Thanx Sand, we need are like buttons back...:o...cuz I ain't reppin' no n00b for talkin' about a "hermie" :fire:...Oh yeah cuz hermies are so rare, you have a better chance at winning the lottery than you do at having a hermie...I wish the n00bs would learn this, and quit blaming their "over doing" (stressing their plants) on a hermie...:hump:

So if I keep the plant in the same space as my other plants and it turns out to be a hermie, will it cause all my other plants to grow seeds?

If pollen gets on a female...it will grow beans...and as I said, you have a better chance at winning the lottery than having a hermie...let me try to explain...if you stress a plant enough it will "SELF POLLENATE" not "HERMIE"...Breeders do this all the time with "Colloidal Silver" to make "Feminized beans"...I do it by taking a plant and sticking it in flower for 2 weeks, and then I take it out of flower and back into veg for a week, then I take it and put it back into flower and she self pollenates and produces my "Feminized beans"...SO...it's not a hermie, if you would do less, and just watch your plants, they WILL tell you everything you need to know by their leaf color, their stem color, the way they perk up when you turn the lights on, the light yellow color of the leaves meaning it needs food, and the dark spots on healthy or yellowing leaves telling you it needs Cal-Mag, or that it's too cold and locking out P...yep you n00bs need to pay attention to your plants if you wana do this right and quit CALLING WOLF ((HERMIE))...

yes. if the plant is 3/4 or more fem with only a few sacks... they will be fem seeds. now if your growing a plant and it starts to thro out balls all over the friggin place with a few hairs here and there is probably a herm. Herms also grow male balls and fem hairs on the same branch/node and every branch..... were as a stressed plant will grow balls on this branch buds on that branch, or a few balls here or there. Self pollenated plants are a bad idea to breed with. if it has that trait locked in its genes it will always come back to bite you in the ass. I have ended whole lines of seeds because they grew male flowers. not what were trying to grow here. fem buds are the top goal of growing. any sign of balls......to compost it goes for me!! Now i will take a few selected 100% fems and spray with cs and then make my fem seeds and grow them out. good luck

So can self pollinated plants pollinate other nearby plants?
It would pollinate the other plants...it's just what we mean is wait... the little nubs could be first sign of a Calyx...
Watch your plant develope wht ever it is going to be...
There is NO rush to get the "Hermie" out...
Hermie would need to turn hermie... first... wait and see...
Then the Hermie parts [which are Nannars growing out of a bud]
Males grow Balls that hang, and explode with pollen...
Wait and learn what ya got...
Just wait... No panic... just chill....
