Hi guys didn’t get an answer on the plant problem forum and I’m new here I’m not sure if I can post here to try get a answer to get my babies back to health again! But I was told by a friend this could be magnesium def but I need more opinions.
400w mh
Coco with canna a and b
Calmag water from 0 to 0.3ec ph 5.9
Rest of plant or new growth seems to be healthy. Can provide more info and pics

Whats the pH of the medium? Looks like it may be low. Locking out magnesium but also causing other issues. In that case the solution isn't adding more food, it's fixing the pH of the root zone.

The ph of feed is 5.9, lights are off atm what should I do to check the ph of the soil? Test the run off? I only have ph meter don’t have any way to test soil directly. Thanks for the reply!

Well testing runoff will let you know if it's low but not exactly how low. for example, lets say you have 5.9 going in and you get 5.4 out, then you are probably much lower like maybe 4.8.

They make pH meters for soil, the cheapos are junk, the good ones are digital like the bluelab and they can measure liquids just fine.

Ok firstly

are you using RO water?

what is your starting EC of your source water?

are You adding CalMag if so at what EC?

are you adding coco A/B if so at what EC?

what’s your final feeding EC that you give to the plants?

To me this looks more along the lines of a Ca issue.

@Renfro could be right and it could indicate a pH issue in the root zone.

Okay I’m going to water my plants soon with 5.9/6 water will test the run off, was also told else where to test the ec incase coco is holding some nutes

Very soft tap water
0ec
0.3ec calmag
1.5ml canna a and B and rhizotonic 2ml per litre
Final ec 1.1

Was told elsewhere plants looked hungry and calcium or magnesium def. feed too week for plants over 4 week old and to up calmag to .4ec and final ec to 1.3, test run of ec to see if a lot lower than intake ec

Like the guys said confirm ph first then make sure they're getting enough calcium. I'm a fan of buffering coco to help with Ca shortage. I rinse and buffer then use 4-5 ml /gal cal-mg for pretty much the whole grow.

I’m very similar I add 0.2EC of mono Ca to my 0.2EC source water. making my starting water 0.4EC.

How often are you feeding?

every few days? Every other day? Daily?

I very rarely exceed 1.4EC in coco.
