This is life in the Middle east, Violet and Hostel.

I look @ it this way. I have a neighbor that keeps spraying Roundup on my grow nearest to his property. But, the Irony is he grows Weed too. But, I want to keep the peace. Because he is my neighbor. So, I don't do anything in retaliation. I only ask him to stop with a stern warning.
Then it happens again and again.
What would you do....think hard.
I would jump the fence and kill every Mj plants and other plants on his property. Then burn down his house down.
War is War and it is ugly.

Israel has the right to defend herself.

first of all, let me say that i can't even imagine what life in isreal must be like.. no friggin clue. people in the us still talk about 9/11, and yes, it was tragic, but ffs it's like the second time in us's history that we have ever had an attack on us soil..
people in isreal deal with this stuff every day of their lives.. car bombs, suicidal bombers, attacks from neighbors, i can't even begin to fathom what life in that country must be like..
good on them for standing up for themselves for a change.. just my $.02.. and like has already been said, like anyone needs any excuse to ever attack isreal, like that's every stopped people in the past..

If life in the middle east is all flowers and boarding houses, why all the violence?

Israel, like any sovereign nation, has the right to defend itself.

It does NOT have the right to carry out cross-border strikes that wound and kill dozens of innocent civilians, all for the sake of one combatant.

America's relationship with Israel is bordering on dangerous now, and if we continue to sit by saying nothing we'll be drawn into wars that are not our own.

We need to reaffirm we are their ally, but that they too must be willing to strive for peace in the region. Not simply foster false rhetoric to buy time for continued hostilities, as seems to be the policy at play lately.

I respect Israel's right to exist, even though I feel the Palestinians' claim is legitimate. With any luck, the dream of a 2-state system or at least peaceful cohabitation will have been realized within my lifetime. But that is only if both sides can reign in firebrands and warhawks who would wish to derail the process for whatever reason. Israel has to lead the way on this if they are to be the respected world power they wish to be seen as.

Blood can no longer be spilled in the name of imaginary lines and ancient fairytales. Not everyone believes in your deity-of-choice, they shouldn't have to suffer the fallout of bickering about bedtime stories.

Israel has the right to defend herself.

Imo, your analogy is slightly off..

I think a more accurate analogy would be something like this;

I buy a house that was just foreclosed on and the occupants kicked out by order of the bank.

I've also got a dog, it shits on my lawn all the time, like dogs do, and I can't stand the sight of shit, so I toss the pups little care packages over into the neighbors yard, and some other neighbors yard every time I see them because, fuck it, I want my yard to look good.

I've got some plants near the property line, and in retaliation my neighbor sprays them with Roundup because he's pissed about the dogshit being heaved into his yard, and sends my way a few fecal care packages of his own, usually hitting my roof or a neighbors house.. He's also pissed that I bought the house because his brother used to live there, even though I had nothing to do with that situation, he blames me for it.

At this point, I'm sick of it, so no warning is really given, just automatic retaliation, and I'm pissed, so it's harsh! I pour plant killer on his entire garden, put rat poison in his dogs food bowl and burn down his kids treehouse, "That'll send the message!" I say..

Our wives try to talk it out and be civilized, but nothing ever really changes between us, I still toss dogshit in his yard, he still returns the favor, I usually lose my temper and the cycle continues..

Now we hate each other and I couldn't really give a damn about solving things with him, "fuck 'em" is pretty much how I feel. I make plenty of money and my dad left me a huge amount in the will, while he and his family has a hard time scraping together scraps and lives paycheck to paycheck.

He's turned all the neighbors against me and I have to deal with bullshit threats weekly, some of them even throw their own piles of shit in my yard, too. I'm fed up with that bullshit so I decided to go to my rich buddies mansion across town and ask for some help in dealing with the situation. He gives me 10 more dogs on the condition he can use my upstairs bedroom every once in a while to bang hookers so his wife doesn't find out, now I have 10 x's more ammunition to assault him with!

Thaaaat sounds a bit more accurate to me..

Israel will never achieve peace with the palestinians until they have all the arable land that the palestinians now occupy
