My girls are now 3 weeks old today, im getting a little fed up with having them on the window, until the sun moves around the back [ south facing uk based ]

is there a general rule of thumb when to re-pot ?

id like to repot once now, and again later into the last pots they will live in, something like a 20 litre.

can anyone please advise ?

Here is a photo of the 2 girls....

The taller one is about 8 inches tall, but wont be quite so tall when i repot due to a little stretching.

trans planting mj plants are quite easy :) If your seedlings have been properly cared for, they should be ready to transplant in 5 to 10 weeks. Wait until all danger of frost has passed before moving them to your garden. You'll also want to gradually "harden off" your plants. Start by bringing them outside only for short periods of time, perhaps for a couple of hours. Then slowly increase hours until they've acclimated to the elements and can be planted outdoors

Noone can resist an itch :D

Each case is different than the next of course, but i wouldn't personally be thinking about transplanting that for a while yet.

I usually wait until I see some roots coming out of the drainage holes at least to even begin to start to worry about it. Even at that, the roots will grow and conform around the pot for a little bit before becoming "rootbound".

today i have discovered that the roots are now at the base of the pot,not wrapped round.....and they do seem to have slowed down a bit in growing....so tomorrow i shall be re-potting into 20 gal pots, my question is this.....

can anyone here in the UK recommend a good soil to use , i was looking at this....with some perlite.

A general rule of thumb.

If you are itching to do something to your pot plants...DONT.

Wait a few more days to several weeks. Goes for almost everything.
