It’s that time of year again!

There’s nothing like growing in the summer. Indoors is cool and all. But something about being out in the elements seeing those big beautiful buds... nothing like it lol ok enough is enough!

All my seeds come from seedsupreme.com. They have been super speedy (no seeds took over a week to get to me) during this pandemic. Thanks so much.

So today I’m germinating 9 seeds.
3 fem blue dream
2 fem unknown/unnamed (freebies)
4 fem skyWalker ghost triangle somethings (freebies)

I’ve always heard about how blue dream is so easy to grow, a great yielder and back in the day when I got some to smoke from time to time that smell and taste is so unique. I just decided to grow out all my freebies with them.
They will all be in 20 gallon smart pots with 3 equal parts of organic soil, peat moss and perlite. I’ll be feeding with botanicare pure blend pro veg and then bloom when the time comes. No pics as of yet but once they pop and go into cups I’ll give you guys something to look at.

I grew out HSO blue dream outdoors. You really need till at least the 3rd week in October for most pheno's (had one that was ready mid oct). It is also mold prone and the smoke wasn't the strongest- Perhaps because I had to chop a tad early. They do yield. Here they are oct. 7

What’s up folks it’s been a little while. Tiny update.

Seeds have sprouted. I lost 2 of the freebies. One I dug up and popped the seed head off and the other was just a dud. Never popped and never came up. Nevertheless their replacements have been germinated. I’m also plus one because I popped a seed from some good smoke that I kept laying around.

I had them under my blurple on 18/6 until today. I have a 2x2 text that I just hung a hlg 100 3000k in so they have moved into there and will stay until they are old enough to be topped then moved outside.

I transplanted 8 seedlings outdoors last night. Filled the 20 gallons up and drug em out to the spot. Hopefully I’m starting these lil babies off early enough to get big and strong. It was hours of hard work and I didn’t come out the brush until the sun was waking up but man I’m ready to see the end result of this process already.

I watered the other day. It’s been hot so each plant got about 3 gallons, hopefully that’ll give me about a week until I have to get out there again.

how long can I actually go without watering outdoors? I know many factors make up that answer but there’s say temp is about 95 degrees on average for the week. How long can I go without watering in those conditions? Also I can get water to them pretty good so they can be given plenty each visit.

I wish I enjoyed outdoor growing more than I do but the bugs and inability to control the weather make it more stressful than fun for me. I still put some outside this year, though, but I'm just going to let them do their thing and hope for the best.

It depends on where you live and how you have them planted (in pots or in the ground). I have my outdoor plants right in the ground on a higher spot in the wetlands part of my property so I should never have to water them once the root gets down close to the water table.

I understand that completely. Its a struggle for sure but i like a challenge. Plus unless i can have full bedrooms to grow in the yield outdoor vs in is really the main thing that keeps bringing me back.

Some plants were doing better than others. I was honestly expecting more growth. I lost one completely due to some grasshoppers but that’s part of the outdoor grind huh?

I pulled the plants out to less shaded areas hoping they will catch some prime sun this week and explode. Also fed the recommended dosage of pure blend pro grow.

I also topped the biggest blue dream so hopefully the next visit it shows signs I was successful as well.
Still no sign of the cookies USA seeds I ordered. I want to get more out ASAP to replace the ones that didn’t make it/slow growing. I may have to bite the bullet and order more from a different Swedbank.

My cookies USA seeds from pyramid have arrived! I also have 12 Frisian dew seeds that should be here Monday.

I’ll be prepping a new spot for the Frisian and watering/feeding the ladies I have out there already.

it’s gonna be a long night in the brush... wish me luck lol

NO PIC UPDATE! I saw the ladies last night, ended up losing one or two of the little tiny guys. The topped blue dream took off though! I was sad by the losses but encouraged by the growth of the ones that are left. I spent a lot of time getting the patch ready for the Frisian dews, mixed in perlite with the dirt thats out there...i will go back and amend that with potting soil and more per lite...should i pre water the plot with veg nutrients?? The Frisian wont be out there for another 2-3 weeks.
