I remember bulbs saying 7 yr warranty, but after thy failed and caught in fire in 6mos the company didnt answer phone or emails.
My bedroom light needs replacement and I would like to make an LED light for it.
obs are too bright and I believe need some sort or diffusor or backward reflector

I just got out of the shower after harvesting the pollen from three males that
I took out of their tent a couple of weeks ago.

Optimus Blue, Chaka Khan, and Skull and Bones

This was the first time, and my process is already improving, with less plant
material taken along with the pollen itself.

....but I was unable to separate the pollen all that well.

a paper lid for a week or two before I finally sift this material:

To get the other plant material out?

Yup. Most kief sifters were sold as "pollen screens" not too long ago.

I am not in a position to grow out males over a piece of glass, or some such.

I just wait until they are popping all over and dropping pollen on themselves,
then I just cut the tops off and laid them into a tupperware that I then covered
with paper towels.

Why not just buy a led bulb that fits in existing socket?

Liking that pollen sifter, cheap-ass that I am I just use a standard strainer from the dollar store.


ime you want to get rid of that green material immediately to avoid moisture. I do the same as you described more or less, cut the tops and dump them into a large baggie, shake the shit out of them which drops some of the plant material into the bag with the pollen. But then I immediately take that and put it through a strainer. That takes all the green material out and leaves me with only pollen. I mix that immediately with white flour at ~4:1 flower: pollen. Then let it sit for a day or two with the bag open to make sure no moisture gets at it before sealing it.

The killer for pollen is moisture so you want to remove any plant material as quickly as possible. Even if you let the plant dry out for a couple of days before collecting the pollen (that's what I do, let it droop before collecting) there's still a lot of moisture in the flowers.

That suck about the discount and their lack of customer service.
Should be some nice seeds though.

But the other one, California Dreaming, is an interesting cross.
It is a tad controversial.

It uses Super Silver Haze, the old cup winner, but the issue is did Swerve
use Arjan's ripped-off stock (so the story goes), but it looks as if he got the
genetics from before Shantibaba left Greenhouse.

The DNA update that is reportedly upcoming is going to have about four
packs that I want to get. We will see. HGK, 24K, Sour Secret, Kosher Kush
(I hope that they get Sour Kosher too...I will get that one from Attitude if I must,
as SK is a breed I loved back when it was a freebie only)

We will see.

I wonder how Arjan and Shanti hooked up in the first place as they seem so different.
Did Arjan do any breeding, or did Shanti do all that?
I suppose he was the marketing guy....

There are so many strains with similar names to the California Dreaming, and most of them sound pretty good also.

I was doing yet another web search for what might have been the
breed of skunk that appeared in southern Cali in the late 70searly 80s.
This "nauge" (as we called it, sold by Jim Nauge in Argo Hall ;0) was
round to the point of spherical buds, lime green (very light), and had
that smell it from across the room stink.

This was not the right thing, but still stood out....it seems that this might

I am also interested in crosses involving Romulan.

I got both of the Cali Connection crosses that use the cross Romulan Grapefruit

Qrazy Train is very tasty. I am afraid that I have yet to
find one as strong as my first. I will keep it for a few more
runs.

The LA Con I have is nice and strong. I am not sure, but the LEC tent
really played a part on its making the grade.

I am about to take the first bowl of Prime Crystal....just a moment....

Mmmmm...good strength...you can tell that it is gooey by how it burns.

As to scent before the burn, it is nice, if subtle.....spicy with a recognizable
mild fuely/skunky undertone.

Good and strong. With only week in the jar I know that the flavor will
continue to come out.

My new LA Affie will be sampled today as well.

Nice variety of new stuff, glad you found some strong ones!

I think the QrazyTrain would be my favorite of those as I dont need super strong with my tolerance, adn I can enjoy more of the flavor.

I am at 40 days 12/12 on all my strains, and my Dog #1 is yellowing already. I think it might be the 8.5 week or so pheno.

Wild night at java's !

Yup. I hit the lowers on three of the four tops of the first of Docs crosses that I have flowered.

So (BSB/CB X WR) X DW was crossed with:

Space Dawg (Area 51) == Blue Napalm X Stardawg
Chaka Khan (Bitchen Seeds) == LA Con X Chocolate Rain
Optimus Blue == Optimus Prime X Crystal Blue Persuasion

I also put some Space Dawg onto one top of my new Tangerine Dream.

That male spewed a giant pile of powder.

I am reminded again of Chimera pointing out how hard it is to pick
a father that will make daughters with big tits.

At this point I am happy to try new things.

I recall being very heartened to hear that Oldman (IIRC) was getting
requests for the Golden Crack I made. I am running one of those
now as well. That was the strongest female I have run, or nearly.

@GroErr how long must I wait before I can spray off a pollenated plant with H2O?

I just turned off the fan in the LEC tent and sat the DW cross apart from the
other flowering plants....I sprayed it off when I got home this evening.

But the TD was just hit and is sitting outside the tent.

I know that you answered this already....sorry. :0)
