You can get a good portable AC for 300-350 but it will have to be vented outside. That will definitely keep it cool. Those also work as humidifiers not dehumidifiers so you may also need a dehumidifier. Even upper 80s is too hot.
my a/c is a dehumidifier as well thanks.

I did work today:

:leaf:made new 1/2 strength flowering recipe for transitional stage:

45ml purebloom pro
15ml liquid karma
13ml nitrozime
16ml hygrozyme
15ml calmag

tell me if it sounds good

ph:5:6 ppm:1290 from 5.2/1000 last fill

sideview

:leaf: took seedling's out from under 400watter and moved them under floros in clone/veg room

:leaf:changed to HPS bulb started 400w light under 12/12 a 25inch rail length.

:leaf:fixed clone room door so light wouldn't seep through when 12/12s are off

:leaf:switched the soil out in the big soil plant to prevent salt build up before flowering
on left in blue

(on right) bitch was heavy and kinda dropped dirt on steam:o impact was hard and really pissed me off. i smoked. but was still mad. will watch for future problems.

----------------------------------------------------
notes:
:?:clones have been on 12/12 for over 2weeks under floros kinda getting hard to distinguish sex.

:?:need to improve ventilation still 95 degrees high at @ around 2-3pm without lights on with on around 85 degrees on @ 2-3 am

:?:still need to make clone/veg room more effective. more floros? can add 1 more 4fter ....maybe cfls? more fans and ventilation

too early to tell?

Hey looks like you're doing pretty well but 95 degrees is pretty damn hot for cannabis to really grow at its optimal level. Anything over 90 degrees really and cannabis growth slows to a halt. I am also currently growing in my attic and it does get to around 86 degrees or so at the hottest. I'm lucky though because I have central air that vents cool air into the room and a few vents going out. But even with the air, it does still get a little too hot sometimes up there. So my solution is to just put two fans on opposite sides of the plants. One is oscillating and blows on the lowest level on and around the plants but at the right distance of about 6 feet away from them. The other is stationed above the plants so it circulates the air above them. I think the fans help tremendously with lowering the temperature around the plants.

GrowTech

stays relevant.
1) You need a portable air conditioner, not a CAP fan (unless you're going to do #3 which would be smart regardless). The only way you are for sure going to be able to battle those temps during a hot summer is with AC.

2) Seriously consider insulating and dry walling the exposed beams. It might cost you a couple hundred but will provide a noticeable decrease in heat during the day.

3) Air cool your damned reflectors, a 400w system can get very hot, which is not making your situation any better. You could easily duct air from within the attic area out through the roof, might cost you $15 bucks total.

If you do all of that, you will be sitting in a very comfortable op with plenty of options.

If you don't want to purchase a portable air conditioner, is there an available central AC duct in the attic you could tap into and move the air out of with an inline fan?

:leaf:12/12 day 28:leaf:
I'm thinking foliar feeding my 4 plants would give them a little boost and maybe help make bigger buds in the long run. currently the leaves aren't as dark green as i would like they are a little bit yellowing at the tips mostly from the light being to close even though its on a light mover. im hoping this would help a little with that.:dunce: here are the pics:

They are yellowing because of the heat............seriously, insulate between the rafters, and cover them with poly~I know fall and winter is coming, and then you'll be fine, but come spring....invest in some insulation, buy a stapler and slap the insulation between those rafters.....then cover the insulation with a layer of poly, Even go so far as to build a "dumy wall" where you stop insulating...you'll see a difference! I cant grow in my outdoor closet in the summer cause it's WAY too hot. It got over 90 in there, the res temps skyrocjeted and I got root rot, lost a whole crop do to poor ventilation/heat (my space is too small for a portable ac unit...But your set up is choice for fall winter crops!

i dig it i have 4 box fans on the plants followed by 2 oscillating fans to keep it down and ive raise the light about 6 inches to help out. im planning on moving soon so idk how long or if i should insulate just just yet until i finalize the decision.

12/12 Day 37
the buds seem to be doing ok. its day 37 i added a big 27000k cfl in the middle of my 4 flowering plants in effort to fill out the lower bud sites. i hope they get more dense over the next couple weeks. looking to harvest somewhere in early-mid October. comments are welcome.:joint:

Why haven't you run air in take and outlets yet? Carbon canister? Very easy to run your roof for fresh in/out dependin winter /summer and the other in to the rrom below so you can switch with seasons. Why no co2? you can just DIY it if your strapped for cash. I too have an attic with similiar height restraints.

i didnt run air intake because i am about to move into a new house so i dont have to be strapped for space and height not to mention i have 2 box fans and 4 oscillating fans in also in the flower room. co2 will come i ordered a 3 burner co2 generator for my next spot. :eyesmoke: how do the buds look you think the 27000 wat cfl will do anything in the last couple weeks?

Fans dont do much but push the air in the room around. Co2 burner will increase your room temps as well.
I use 1 400w hps and 1 400w MH in both veg and flower rooms. Never used cfl during veg or flower.

DAY 43ISH OF 12/12 SMALL SPIDER-LIKE WEBS CAN BE SEEN AT LOWER BUDSITES CLOSE TO STEM. I REMOVED THEM BY HAND. THE BIGGEST ON STRETCHED A HALF INCH AT THE VERY BIGGEST. BUG LOOKED SMALL AND BLACK. CHECKED OVER PLANTS FOUND AROUND 6 OTHER SPOTS WITH WEBS SAME SIZE. SEEMS AS IF IT JUST STARTED. IM HOPING THIS CAN BE CONTAINED/ELIMINATED TO PROTECT THE PLANTS. i SHALL CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE INFESTATION.fuck

ON ANOTHER NOTE THE BUDS ARE GETTING BIGGER
