Hi,

I'm growing 3 easy ryders in John Innes No.1 soil. They are 2 weeks old now and haven't had any nutes yet. I was going to buy some today but i just read that this compost is supposed to feed the plant for several weeks so i'm not sure now..

Does anyone know when would be good to start the plants on grow nutes?

Cheers :)

I am not sure whats in the soil you have, but if its still feeding your plants, adding nutes now might burn them. How long exactly is it suppose to feed your plants for? I would suggest to wait another week or two before giving them nutes. At start off with a weak solution then watch your plants closely for any sign of nute burn

Well, it could be a number of things. I wouldn't want to tell you one thing and it be the other. It could be over fertilized. Could be Over watering.

Damn 1-2 months. Thats exactly why I don't buy soil like that. I rather know exactly what my plant is getting. Makes Diagnosing problems like you have easier.

the john inns range is reaslly good . We grew some weed last year with it and only needed to start feeding plants after 6 weeks of vegging .
Your plants will start to show signs when they are wanting nutes . Post some pics of your plants so people can give you advice

I seriously don't know if i should start using bio grow yet.. From my research people are saying use it after 2 weeks, other places like that website i posted say it's got enough nutrients for 2 months.. it's very confusing :(

I'm wondering if the reason for the leaves curling and yellowing is not enough nutes.. but then again it may be to many. What to do :(

I used John Innes seeding compost and even that stuff burnt my plants (when I started feeding a very weak solution of bio grow). That yellowing and curling IS nute burn, I had the very same symptons. DON'T GIVE THEM ANYTHING BUT TAP WATER FOR AT LEAST 5 WEEKS.
