Trinidad & Tobago is now that much more 'woke', friends. We're on board - grow it, bu'n it, but (
don't) doh sell it, yuh hear!
A few firsts abound, for me. First blog participation (is it even termed as such?), first foray into weed-tech, first grow approaching and my first friends on here. I'm chuffed; life is good. I am essentially enrolled in the informal University of Cannabis, spending inordinate stretches of time learning the basics. It will likely be that way for a few years, perhaps. Anyway, I'm fleet of mind, so me eh worried.
Most of the data available is pertinent to temperate climates; ours can be summarised as seen below:
Average weather facts:
- On average, the temperatures are always high.
- A lot of rain (rainy season - NO snow) falls in the month: June, July, August, September, October, November and December.
- On average, the warmest month is November.
- On average, the coolest month is March.
- July is the wettest month.
- March is the driest month.
The reason I furnished such detailed info is because I seek guidance for my planned grow. Below shows a crop rotation layout for twelve months, intended to service my personal needs.
Autoflowering plants are reportedly able to offer multiple harvests. This may make my Schedule flawed, rearing 6 plants 4 times a year. Have I chosen well? I'm using a 15' x 10' plot Outside, featuring 8 holes, using 6 of them, mostly. I'm yet to determine the specific layout; I've marked shadow lines from the house and fence all year long last year as the Sun travelled from Northern Hemisphere to Southern. I wanna make sure the plants are not deprived of energy by shadows.
Does anyone have knowledge of the specifics of this type of home grow? I figure I'm going to need lots of gear to facilitate the various life stages, but internalising the reams of data available then trying to adapt it to my environment may be a bit much in the short term.
