keif hash?

So I took my keif from my grinder and made a "hash Ball" outta it. My question is, Is this the same as regular hash? I heard that keif is mild...but isn't this how hash is made? In the middle east dont they use large sifters to get the keif which they turn into hash? Keif hash is legitmate hash yes?

yes, kief hash is pretty good hash. and yes, there is places that use giant sifters. thats how those giant, shitty, bricks of black hash you commonly see are made and sold for the same price, or less than weed.. its 50% low thc trics and 50% powderized plant material, made with lots of heat to half melt it and turn it into a black/brown ball that creates ash when smoked and doesnt taste very good, nor is it very potent. smoke a gram easily.. a nice hash is one that barely creates any ash, has a nice blonde color to it, and preferably melts ;)

how do you plan on smoking that hash ball? the only benefit I find of packing it rock hard is for transportation, or smoking it on the blades, maybe even dabbing might work? otherwise it will smoke way better in a bowl if its busted up finely IMO. so im taking a powder, turning it into a solid ball, then powderizing it again otherwise it smokes like shit... I prefer to just leave it as kief and smoke that, or mix it 50/50 with weed and do stuff with it (oil, joins, bong, etc..)

but yeah, its pretty much the same as "regular hash" hash is all the same... some is better/purer than others.

Yes pressed or loose kief is a legitimate form of hash. Vacpurge it does not work to dab with. I got curious and used some with my swing the stuff would not come off my dabber or smoke well once a little was on there. If you have stuff that melts go ahead it'll probably work but if it doesn't melt dont waste your time rubbing it on hot metal.

dont have to melt it. heat just makes it form 1 solid patty better.

he meant if you had full melt hash, which is basically a dry looking honey oil until you heat it.. then it melts and would smoke nice off a blade/ti nail whereas hash in the solid/kief form need combustion.

I imagine it didnt smoke too well? I rolled a crystal joint once. only once. it sucked.

It smoked well actually. I just lit the tip and let it burn for a little bit and blew it out and inhaled it...I didnt smoke it like a joint though

yes this is how the finest non solvent hashes in the world are made.the reason they are so great is because they have been decarboxylated in the heating and/rubbing process. what seperates the difference is the quality of kief differentiated by the mesh in the screen and the time it comes out in the screening process. hand rubbed morrocan hash is made all year as the plant grows, it is rubbed several times before they chop it before winter. this hand rubbed morrocan hash is the most dank and exquisite hash on earth and never touched water or any solvent.

we make a morrocan style hash at our dispensary that is dry ice keifed and then pressed and heated(i will not reveal my secrets until after this years cannabis cup, muah!). super dank, super clean nobodys doin it... YET

DO NOT SMOKE KEIF THIS IS A HUGE WASTE OF THC POTENTIALITY. if you want to smoke your keif, try wrapping it in cellophane and putting it in your shoe for the day to make shoe hash. the shoe hash gets activated by the heat and pressure in your shoe. once activated it burns much longer and gets you much higher than just plain keif

green in your hash means plant material(aka chlorophyll) you want a blond to white color to your keif when you start, and you can rival the most other engineered waxes out there.

if you take pure blond and work it with distilled water in a dish over moderate heat you can make "water wax"

do some research on riff creme to start, all hash is not the same WHATSOEVER

there are entire books written on hash and hash making, this post shows you have little to no knowledge on the topic

might i suggest HASHISH! by Robert Connell Clarke

the grading of ANY hash is done easily and readily by holding a lighter to it. the more it melts and bubbles the purer it is. real morraccan gold melts and bubbles just like earwax and is more potent, because the morroccan is activated the earwax is not. truth

I never did claim to be a hash expert. for the level of question asked, I gave an appropriate level answer. there was a reason I said its "pretty much the same as "regular hash" " depending on how technical you wanna get, then no, all hash isnt the same... but in the long run, it kind of is. its pretty much the tric heads, sometimes the tric stalk, heated and pressed together. pure and simple. now whether you wanna get technical with the lingo on how its extracted, pressed, heated. whatever, I got better things to do than read books on hash, like a full time job.

ive read all sorts of ways on making hash, tons of different ways of acquiring the kief, tons of different ways of pressing and heating it, and putting it in the bottom of a disgusting bacteria filled shoe has got to be one of the most ridiculous things ive ever heard. you want heat and pressure? buy a keif press and a hair dryer. from what ive read, most decarboxylation is done to the bud beforehand not to the hash. either way, just smoke it and get high.

got any proof? other than your own personal samples? im talking links, numbers, graphs, test, documented studies, etc... not just opinions. im not trying to argue. just trying to maybe learn something. hard to believe that putting kief in your shoe makes it more potent...

i hate when my stuff bubbles :[[[[[

my goal is to achieve FULL MELT, hellooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo..

quite often i get stuff that melts very easy, and slightly bubbles.. i feel there has been a time when i just made full melt.. i forget, lately, i have those damn bubbles though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

are bubbles ok? i feel bubbles = butane.

DO BUBBLES = SOMETHING ELSE?

Please FadeDawg, hope you see that question..

there are NO crackles, but bubbles, beautiful little bubbles, then melt..

-am i in the wrong thread? :p

Butane bubbles are random sized and leave a distinct butane after taste. The taste is hard to miss if there is enough present to bubble when heated.

The small fizzy bubbles are CO2 from decarboxylation, as the oil is heated.

Are you perhaps retaining more carboxylic acid than before, by using younger material, or less heat?

PS: Decarboxylated oil will be dead quiescent when heated and just melt.

you dont have any of those things, and these arent opinions these are facts

you have never made wax or oil on a commercial or professional level so stop acting or posting like you know what you are talking about

what kindof proof do you want kiddo other than the 100 million people in europe that smoke hash

bubbles in your earwax is typical, bubbbles in oil are not. bubbles in creme grade hash is typical. alot of times bubbles move through coalescence bc the heat creates expansion

as i have watched oil cook down in solvents i have noticed there are several levels of boiling in which different compounds boil out of the final product. what temps and what level dictate the potency, consistency, and number of bubbles that come from heating the final product. these observations are all validated through the observance of the boiling point of the solvents in use and in the visual decarboxylation of the oil

all oils make bubbles when heated, ever sauteed?

You guys rock! i just asked and i just received, right onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn..

My material has often been young, and i have moved to a slower process, which in turn uses less heat, but just longer purge..

I have too many times over heat my material and turned it into globs.

thank you igothydrotoneverywhere for the input as well! I will remember

the people i work with tend to love the wax, honeycomb, i wishhhhhh everyone could just take some oil, shatter, but ya.. i do for personal!!
