Im currently using an at200 apache in a 2 x2 and was thinking about getting a 10000k kessil aquarium light to supplement for finishing, what does the kessil crew have to say about that?

I am not sure an aquarium Kessil will be of any good for horticulture. I think four H380's would be better to flower by supplimenting a 1000K light. In short get the right Kessil for the right job.

On the contrary... A 15k aquarium light is excellent for horticulture:) you really should investigate the effects of uv on corals and plants in general. Before you make uninformed statements. My plants response to supplemental 15k light has been nothing less than outstanding. I use it specifically during the final weeks of ripening, it seems to make the trichs explode. Corals will florese to protect themselves from it... That's why they are used in aquariums. Cannabis has.. Other ways to protect itself..

I don't use kessils as a main light source... Supplemental only. 1 h380 for 660nm reds and 1 15k aquarium light for extra UV.

PhDs in light and growing are a nice advantage. Tuned grow COBs are coming soon. Check our @Greengenes707 thread. He went to an LED show recently and saw the future of lighting. His company is building some sweet COB setups and the horta COBs are going to take it another quantum leap forward.

The part numbers, such as H1200, are what they use to show the HID watts they compare to - so 1200 watts. Looks like it is four H380s in one fixture. I hope it will have the programability of the aquarium lights. Sunrise - day - sunset - night - moonlight...
