Has anyone in here ever edited a document before?? Why would I do research on things I have done research on?? Ever hear of a peer review??

This is not for the forum. I have said it a bunch of times now. And personally I would direct people to google before I directed them to the bickering on here. Read a ton of this garbage. Not necessary.
Sorry that’s a bit ridiculous. And yes, I do have an undergraduate degree majoring in biochemistry and have a very good grasp of peer reviewed papers, but in all honesty I don’t know why you are comparing peer reviewed work with what you will find in a forum about growing cannabis. If you are looking for peer reviewed published papers then Google has a scholarly documents sections from publishers like PubMed etc. There are some with cannabis as a topic, but fewer related to biology and growing practices. This is why a guy like me would prefer knowledge-based experience over peer reviewed work, and that’s why I come here.

I get what you’re doing, but I guess to put it plainly - you should do the work

Do what work? I have been growing for about 16 years now. I have been on these forums since 2008ish. I have researched plenty about this plant and trust me this is one of the last places I would come to do research. I am on here posting a document I wrote off the top of my head to help people who do not have as much of a grasp on growing at all. To put in to more easier to read laid out document so they can use it to get started. Not a million forums of people bickering about how much knowledge they have then telling people to do research. It is pathetic.

If you have any degree you would understand what editing or peer review, critiquing, feedback on the document itself. I am not looking for anyone's opinion on whether this is necessary or not because at that point you have clearly not grasped the point here.

Once again, this is not for rollitup. This is for people local. For people to reference right off the bat. My own guide. I was not asking where it should be posted. I was asking for people's input on what to put in it.

This is not to be some sort of sticky. This is not to be a thread to benefit others. This is to be my own guide. I don't care about "the search" blah blah blah. At this point rollitup seems to be more of a "who is better" competition than a beneficial tool.

If you don't have input on the document itself then go find another thread. If this thread fades away I am sure I will be fine. This was just a chance to get some input.
Lmfao. So if I am to understand this correctly. You are writing a document for yourself on rollitup, it has nothing to with rollitup, it not to help newbies even though the title literally say "key points for new growers" and don't want to hear shit about it?

Seems legit.

Sounds great - you do you - I’m assuming the ‘locals’ you’re talking about is a group of new growers you know personally? I’d suggest that if you want to point them to a document that talks about growing cannabis, buying a book about it would be a great start, Ed’s new one looks quite good. Would save you time and let you be there to answer your local friends’ specific questions - much like we do here in the forums - that seems more suited to your declared skill level

You just can't seem to grasp a point cupcake. Good luck with whatever you do. Pointless to do it here... bongsmilie

This is for a brand new demographic that just got the go ahead to grow and have zero basis and jobs and kids and not enough time to read books. There is zero reason to read a book. This is not hard stuff. I have been doing this long enough with well more than enough research to bullet point it. I was just asking politely for anyone else's additions. This was definitely not necessary at all.

In my post #14, I told you I appreciated what you did, it was good information, and good job.
Sorry, getting caught up in responses. I appreciate it and completely understand this thread will fade away. I just figured it would be awesome to get a few extra set of eyes on it. This thread wasn't really for newer growers although even their input would be helpful since that is the crowd I am trying to reach honestly with this. I do appreciate your comment and I apologize for coming off at you like that.

Exactly, it isn't hard. No need for your document that isn't meant for anyone on this site despite the fact that you posted it here.

I think people are getting a little off point here. This is a basic guide not an in depth experience. This is to help people get started. We all know how to grow etc. This is about helping others get started to gain the experience everyone else here has.
There are literally dozens of threads like this already.

Can you even read? It was posted to have other possibly add to it if they thought of anything. How come the first couple of people understood and then the delinquent trolls showed up?? This is meant as a document for people that don't want to come on sites with trolls like yourself. You do the same thing on the hplvd thread. Over here in denial of a well documented virus. Yeah you're the tool in the shed I am going to first .....

Trollitup at your service...
You know what...no...you asked experienced growers for input..i tried to nudge you gently away from confrontation with ur posters...you shouldve been Lois Lane with ur glasses on taking notes on ur yellow notepad as we rattled off proudly cuz another grower asked our thoughts...hey fkn cool..nope it blew up. Yes a few got the wrong impression on the intent of ur post, for that im sorry. Definitely added to the derailment. Try again please, without the "students settle down!" mkay?
