Awesome.

Half of the work right now is finding a decent priced driver to fit ones needs. Then you gotta wait a month to get it :wall:
Sager.com but you must buy 10 to get them for $55.20 but me I get them for $54 lol but still have to pay shipping

Here we go again with the "fuck mouser and Digikey" non-sense... SMH.

You've been helpful a bunch of times to people on here but then it's always some quick line about kingbrite mixed in there. I'm startin to wonder how much a discount you're getting for shilling for them non-stop....

I gave you a hard time because I got mine before you because you kept saying you were going to get them first, you didn't see a thread saying "Got my CXB3590's already, fuck Digikey and Kingbrite!" Or I didn't say "I got my 3590s and they actually say B3590R unlike someone who got them from Kingbrite!"

We get it, Kingbrite is a good source.... They seem to be doing the right thing for lighter, we just don't need to have it thrown in our faces 15 times a day...

Just sayin.

On a positive note, I know you're talking about doing 10 on one panel, have you ever given thought to getting half width hear sinks and doing 4 or 5 each so you have a little more versatility in moving them where lights needed? I was going to do a 10"x24" sink with 8 cobs like you've done, but am now thinking (2) 5.88" x 24" with 4 COBs on each might allow me to spread around the light a little better...

These U-profiles in any length are a good place for 3, 4 or more cob's on Alpine11/64 incl. the driver. Perforated plate on the back to cover, done! Looks clean and good light distribution with these bars. They are up to 15cm width that provides plenty of space!

By the time I paid for shipping @ Kingbrite even with the lower pricing, it was still the same price ($353) for my CXB3070 and I received my order in 2 days (8x CXB3070) from Digikey. I did speak with Jerry at KingBrite about the shipping and he said he could not give them to me any cheaper ;/ While his prices may be cheaper, it was not cheaper in the end unless I wanted to wait 2-3 weeks for my order via the super slow shipping.

KingBrite is great when Digi/Mouser do not have things in stock I agree but to say that his prices are so much better, well they are not when you include shipping. If hes giving you better deals, great! More power to you, but he does not offer that across the board so understand that not all of us see him in the light you do :)

Where do you live? I only pay $40 for DHL shipping to the west coast and mouser it's $88 and they don't stock the top bin.

I was really impressed with DigiKey.

Fast shipping, best customer support I've ever had, and I've been on customer support alot.
Digikey charge state tax and they are not in my state which charges 9.5% wtf really 9.5%. They might be great in the UK but I'm a yankee or a wanker lol

This is what I figured. No website? No prices listed? No add to cart? You have to talk to this guy and get prices? Then, you have to wait for it to ship from China. Digikey is super expensive. But, I feel more comfortable buying from them. The Kingbrite connect seems like a great option for someone with patience. I got spoiled with Amazon. :bigjoint:

Yep lol you are not buying from Kingbrite lol. I'm their unofficial salesman rlmfao. I'm just glad I got the hook up for everyone on RIU.
Im still wondering what hook up you got us? I am on the west cost too (220 miles from LA) and they wanted to charge $45 for shipping + $38.50 per CXB3070 for 8 of them thats $353. DigiKey charged me $352.83 SHIPPED. I notified Jerry that you were the one who referred me and that I was from RIU. He stated that the 38.50 per CXB3070 + $45 shipping was the cheapest possible he could do. There does not seem to be much hook-up there.

Oh, and when I ordered, Digikey had them instock and Jerry said it would be 2-3 days at the earliest before he received stock. I had mine in hand through Digikey on the day Jerry said they were receiving them.

Again, I am not knocking Jerry and Kingbrite as I am all for competition (drives prices down) but he is not giving us something spectacular here. He is offering up a product for the same price we can get here stateside and just happens to have them in stock (some of the products at least, not everything... Seems hit and miss with all the companies in this category).
