4 little pics of our 5x new 600w no heatsink 4x4 light we built today. We'll use those lights to beta test Koada!

We're running them very softly, so it does not produce any heat and the plant can touch the LED without even being burnt. The PPFD is obviously very high & uniform in the 4x4 area: Around 1300-1400 μmol/m2/s everywhere @ 6 inches (PPFD measured w/ an Apogee SQ-520 without any reflective surface).

You don't need to count: there is 5824 diodes on this beast, the light penetration is just insane!

subbed - I've been waiting for something like this...so this will work/run "after" my meanwell drivers? Is there a site for more info>?

will this be the main controller or is there another computer which runs the software?
No, this only the card that allows us to control Meanwell driver. It's optional if you don't have Meanwell driver.
In our box, we're using the reliable raspberry pi zero w. But you can use any Raspberry pi/board that support i2c / GPIO.

Sorry, we don't have a site for now. We're focusing on delivering the beta! What do you mean by "running after" the Meanwell? You have a dim cable on your HLG-480h-24B-type driver, the one you're using with a pot. You just connect it to our box and voilà!

A lot of things are going on! The first software beta is almost finished. The MeanWell PCB is currently in production but the factory has some delays... (Nothin alarming thought)

We're currently working on the Co2 controller:

We also receive the first aluminum boxes and the relays for the hardware beta. We hope to start it during November!

Beautiful build! How is your aluminum frame being held together if you don't mind me asking?

*edit okay i see in a couple pics it's bolted in 4 places to mount hangers but in the pictures prior to that and for the middle aluminum flat iron. What on earth is holding it all together?

I'm also interested in knowing about the wiring going on here. I see its wired in parallel, but I can't seem to figure out where the lines that would go to the driver are in this configuration.
Sorry I know that this thread is intended to be about your led contoller but that light has me very very interested.

^Heck ya thats the way to build a strip fixture, i didnt notice that before ! amazing, tons of strips, no heat sinks and running low....dayum......Edit_altho they look a little flimsy without sinks

Thank you very much for your interest! We're building and selling them in Switzerland. We're using this insane tape to held the leds strip to the aluminum frame.

We're thinking about adding a third aluminum flat profile in the center and put the 2 others more at the edge of the light to improve the overall quality. We're happy to share our design, don't hesitate if you have more questions!

Yea, I think so. I can not imagine they would stop developing now; they have reached already beta state. They are probably just too busy in the moment..
Hi there!

I just took one week off because this year was very stressful! I'm sorry for the lack of answers.

We're currently working on the last feature, but the biggest: The triggers:

Capture d’écran 2018-12-03 à 09.59.38.png Capture d’écran 2018-12-03 à 10.00.10.png

We migrated the project from Trello to Gitlab because no one ever used it beside the developers...

I don't feel comfortable communicating any release date anymore. We could sell kits right now but we don't have the feeling that this is perfectly ready. We still want to improve it some more.

Thank you for following the project!

It takes the time it needs.. Those triggers are important .. We are just impatient and afraid it could have been stopped for some unknown reason, lol!

I agree, the full feature set should at least work with the first stable release. A few small bugs here and there could be fixed later if the main features are working. A few days more or less doesn't matter as long as it's going on further it's all good.

Hi there, the end of 2018 wasn't easy at all for me, sorry for the delay.

I'm trying to start working again on Koada this Monday. Thinking about removing the very tricky trigger system and release the software. If this is fully stable, I'll release the trigger & co2 system later in the year.

Cluld one hook a touchscreen to the rpi and use it as a standalone grow room controler. So the whole software runs from the rpi and keeps logs on the sd card (software also running from the card). I got a problem getting wifi where my grow is and am affraid it wouldn't work without. But I could always download logs from the rpi via bluetooth.

I'm also guessing controlling 2 different rooms should work just fine with this one? Veg and flower, different light cycles and different feeding schedules.
