Yeah I took a little hit on the yeild by harvesting a week early and probably potency too but I was out of weed and it still does the tric nicely. Now if I only had some kush for the evenings lol. There is a harvest next week of Ts' NHK which is og x (lemon larry x chemdog). Should be a good haul ;)

Leader is looking mighty fine, liking the short indica stature on these girls. What are the genetics on the cataract kush? Looking forward to watching them grow!

The Cataract is a 99% Indica apparently. The genetics are OG18 x LA Confidential, yum. Never grown the LA but apparently the dominance is still the OG, which is probably my most-grown. Excited to see the LA come through a bit

Doing my weekly grow room cleaning (gots to keep it med-spec ;)) and decided to snap off a couple shots. Did some stratigic pruning to Leaders under-brush and the tops have really started running now, transplant and first topping will be tomorrow for her. Gonna look different ... :)

Everything will get a good drink tomorrow, but it`s coming along. Thanks for checking in, and stay tuned. Keep it green,

What's the difference between the og and the og 18, is it just a different breeder? I forget who's marketing the 18 right now. Don't mind if I pick you brain a little haha : ?) I should put all of my kush crosses together and choose a new one to run. I can't remember what they are all of the top of my head lol, one is convict kush. Know anything about that one? I'm at the tail end of a 7 or 8 month run with T's NHK right now. Very nice strain. Oh right I have a bunch of seedlings going right now,,,,18 GDP x Blue Dream. Those will keep me busy finding the keeper so maybe in month or so I'll drop another kush strain.

Later man

Hey HC, thanks for stoppin in. Thought you`d like this, integrates into the thread nicely too ;)

History of Kush

I can't remember what they are all of the top of my head lol, one is convict kush. Know anything about that one?
From what I remember, this is a LA Confidential x Power Kush cross. No experience with it, but depending on how my LA x OG18 here comes out, I may be enticed to get more the LA cut in other Kushes :)

Trust me brother, already read that post, going to be REAL interested in how that goes (see other thread). ;)

Transplanting and Topping Leader tomorrow, never wanted to cut something`s head off so bad. Mainlining gets you jacked up for hackin`!! Haha, keep it green all,

Missed this section earlier mate, the OG18 I use is a Chemdwg x ChemOG from RP. I get em from my shop down the way but here`sa look of the same cut I run every year (in and out). OG18 **

Hey everyone, welcome to another installment, haha. Had a busy morning in the garden today, going to have lots for you guys.

I Let the girls go maybe 4-5 days without water (except Leader) to get em`stretching, they were hungry, hungry ladies today. Here`s some shots of the garden before we start the fun stuff ;)

IMG-20130406-00100.jpg

Leader
IMG-20130406-00101.jpg

Mrs. Orange (wants to be the boss now!)
IMG-20130406-00102.jpg

and Mohican :)
IMG-20130406-00103.jpg

And here`s some shots during Leaders transplant
IMG-20130406-00104.jpgIMG-20130406-00105.jpgIMG-20130406-00108.jpgIMG-20130406-00107.jpg

Look at those healthy looking roots, oh yeah

IMG-20130406-00109.jpg

Finished up, in the new home, last before flower (transition to 5 gallon root bag).

And our training begins ...

Tried the best I could to walk through this for all of those who wanted to see a little play-by-play, haha. What you`ll see is where we`re cutting on the plant, what we cut (and could clone, but aren`t), and what have at the end, as well as some essentials with cuts. Enjoy,

IMG-20130406-00117.jpgIMG-20130406-00118.jpgIMG-20130406-00119.jpgIMG-20130406-00120.jpgIMG-20130406-00121.jpgIMG-20130406-00122.jpgIMG-20130406-00123.jpgView attachment 2603505IMG-20130406-00125.jpg

Now 2 dominant heads, soon to be 4. Will train and top again within a few days and wait for her to respond. So far she`s lovìng it, gave the room a humidity spike with mist @ 2 drops / Litre of Superthrive.

WWxNL (Jill)

Because of the circumstances (lovely dry, easy to transplant soil), decided to give her a new home today too. Had some pretty awesome roots I thought warranted a post. So here`s a little walk-by of her transplant

IMG-20130406-00115.jpgIMG-20130406-00114.jpgIMG-20130406-00116.jpg

And some tasty shots of the newly freshed, cleaned out garden, everyone seems happy (including me), and we`ll she how the next few play out.

IMG-20130406-00110.jpgIMG-20130406-00111.jpgIMG-20130406-00113.jpgIMG-20130406-00126.jpgIMG-20130406-00127.jpg

Hope you all enjoyed, stay tuned for another update soon enough. Keep it green,

wowza.. I had no idea that much of the plant get's cut off.
Why not root that cutting?
No space ... :(, unfortunately. Stepped out to the `Factory`to see if there was some space, but this round of the OG18 is bushier than usual :weed:. Was going to gift it to someone, but I know no growers close enough to handle this calibre, haha. Thanks for stopping in CP, stay tuned

what kind of soil are you using KC? Home Mix?
Thanks for stopping by Danky!

Home mix, barely, haha. The Production runs I do for my patients with the OG18 gets a complete soil ammendment for the whole cycle so all that`s required is waterings with Superthrive. 50-60 Plants, this method is easier to control. With this smaller test grow however I opted for easier to prepare soil and to ammend with water. Using the CANNA nutes as a first (recommended by follow growers) and supplementing as we go given the small scale, makes the soil mix a breeze to mix for anyone,

Soil
Hortibec (or Premiere now) Premium *2 Parts*
- Compost
- Perlite
- Humus
- Peat Moss
- Pre-added mycos :)
+
Any Horticultural Perlite *1 Part*

And that`s it. I feed 5ml/L of the CANNA Terra Vega with every watering as the solution seems to be very mild. Everything is completely organic and also recieves 1 drop/Litre of Superthrive. Simple, and roots dig it :eyesmoke:

Nice setup KC. Those Cataracts are bushy as hell like you said. The mainlining method is awesome, I've seen nugbuckets thread. Have you mainlined before? What is the average height your plants end up at and how many heads do you go for?

Subbed and looking forward to watching this unfold.

dang.. must be nice being so overrun with happy plants that you're out of space. Maybe someday I'll know that feeling of highrollerness..

Thanks for stoppin` in SS, glad to see ya. I picked the MainLining up from that thread and HAD to put it into practice. Have topped and performed all sorts of control techniques, but the mainlining is the first method I`ve seen to really push the canopy outwards, and with massive support system. My plants will end up flowering total of 24 inches from pot I`d guess, though not sure how the LA will affect thhe bloom. Easily keep my OG18 garden at 20 inches, no issues with similar topping (although next run will be ML`d after this result). Your grow is doing awesome as well, be proud of that :)

Haha, not quite. Have that dedicated space for patient needs and this op is my personal in my room :weed:. It`s nice, but I have about 10-12 strains I would also run though ... priorities you know, haha

Thanks for stopping by, little update to come here,

Third pick is the WWxNL cross, doing real well now. Happy growing all,

Hey guys, spent some time in the garden today, thought I`d reflect with y`all. Leader was looking really good wanting some more training, so who was I to deprive her ...? ;) So here`s some pictures before we started the nitty-gritty,

IMG-20130408-00132.jpgIMG-20130408-00133.jpgIMG-20130408-00134.jpg

And then we start her work-out, gotta spread that canopy out slowly ...

IMG-20130408-00138.jpg
First side, working that hook shape as close to the `hub`as possible

IMG-20130408-00139.jpg
... second like the first, notice the pinch

IMG-20130408-00140.jpg
.. and tied down before some adjustments

And here`s a few shots of the topping for 4 heads done after the training is finished,

IMG-20130408-00141.jpgIMG-20130408-00142.jpgIMG-20130408-00143.jpgIMG-20130408-00144.jpg
Head on, head off, head on, head off, you get the idea. All of which were pinched off by hand

And our end result after training, second topping, and the tried and true chop-stick support system ;),

IMG-20130408-00145.jpg

We`ll wait a few days for for to respond and straight upright again before we tie the other heads off for our `H`pattern. Going to be thick.

Was going to top the Twins tonight as well, but got too late, had to mix a new batch of soil up as they`ll need the transplant sooner than I thought. Here`s a few pictures of the stem vigour in these ladies, gonna love a topping,

IMG-20130408-00135.jpg
Mrs. Orange (may not get topped just to see how the Cataract performs outright. She`s a monster, thick stems, would be my keeper for a cross)

IMG-20130408-00136.jpg
... and Mohican, going to be a better ScrOG pheno I think than the rest. Brachier, but strong

IMG-20130408-00137.jpg
And a shot of the FAT indica leaves these babes put off. Shot is of Mrs. Orange

Will keep you guys updated as these continue to take off. Will post a transplant update for the twins and the construction of the individual ScrOG set-ups each plant will have going into flower later. Ladies will be moving to a tent be early next week for a couple weeks of 18/6 under MH. Stay tuned, as always appreciate hearing from you guys. Keep it green,

Another post to come shortly, will water and run out for a few things, but Leader is beast-mode. 12 hours after topping and intense training and she`s bouncing back like nothing happened, just more intense :). Stay tuned,

okay.. since I'm still learning, I'm allowed a few dumb questions.

1. What's the purpose of the chop sticks?
2. What's to keep these multiple growth points your creating from stretching like mad and becoming.. my plants? Is that where the LST comes in?
3. Will your finished product of this LST and topping produce a bush that looks like this?
https://www.icmag.com/gallery/data/500/5232DSCN03291.jpg
4. Guess I don't understand how these bush types don't stretch, and stay bushy even at this stage.. https://www.icmag.com/gallery/data/500/5232DSCN04071.jpg
Is it just the LST that keeps everything at an even bush shape?

I'm so lost.. The more pictures I study, and pages I read.. it seems the more confused I get.

I would recommend this strain for you then CP, because of the immense Indica properties, she stays super short and squat to begin with, by topping them like I have, you encourage lateral shoot growth. The purpose to make each individual head think it`s the main cola, which we`ve done by redirecting growth with a topping. The tie downs used only aid this process by training the plant outwards with strong branching to support the heavy colas later (each of which thinks it`s no.1 :)).

Not dumb questions mate, I promise if you continue to follow this along, you`ll see the screen come into play and everything will be a bit more clear. In a nut shell, if you`re after short, squat ladies, genetics and training are the keys,
