you know I love you but I have to clear the air about mods and mods abilities . we get shit on a lot on this website it comes with the job but mods just are here to delete spam, they are allowed to have an opinion and thoughts, and sometimes those thoughts aren't going to sparkle with everyone, (while personally I understand this is a touchy subject and I feel so horrible for anyone whos ever been sexually assaulted ) I just have to state that mods literally just delete spam,.. admins or global mods do more but pada is just a plain mod, and has always imho asked touchy subject cases , hes a little curious and comes off abrasive but ya anywho just wanted to let you know what mods do
Sunni, thank you sweetie, this is nothing about you hun and I thank you for the clarification.

I'm a software engineer who writes community software. I've been on the 'net since BBS in 1983. I know precisely what mod's can and can't do. I've actually written the code that allows them to do their jobs in a couple different software suites on the market and for a couple HUGE internet providors. I'm the one that suggested they do it anonymously here as well. I've dealt with trolls over and over. Padawanbater2 is a troll. He may also be a mod but he's a troll. I would happily write the code to allow VBulletin to ignore mods. But I doubt it would be used LOL.

All you have to do is see he is continuing to pour gasoline on the conflagration. Why isn't this thread locked? If Rolli allows trolls as mods you're right they can't damage the DB. But it is an embarrassment.

Anyway I am out of this thread and if I were part of the CAT team here I'd have locked this.

tree falls in woods, does it make a sounds if no one is their to hear it, argument about sexual assault, you had to know this was going to blow up in your face

wither you agree that the general Que doesn't know how to define a sexual assault ignorance is not an excuse, your own streaking scenario suggest the same or eludes to the possibility

got to take a step back from PC'ness and really pick a right and wrong,

sexual assault wrong by any definition, and trivializing it by defining it with variable levels of severity , doesn't help your case or answer your questions, very odd pada, did you get accused of rape?

So according to this logic, it is equally as wrong for me to piss in public as it is to rape someone. There are no variable levels of severity.

"Sexual assault", as defined by certain jurisdictions, is clearly not "wrong" in the same sense as rape is "wrong" unless you believe people should be thrown in jail for taking a leak in public. If you believe people should be thrown in jail for pissing in public, that's about as far as you and I will go when it comes to discussing what's right and wrong, because clearly, you are not fit to take part in the conversation.

context and emotional premise . . . . . .are you suggesting that a woman who is reporting a sexual assault to a cop and someone who is candidly speaking on the interwebs of their experience and opinion on sexual assault is the same

this is getting very weak and kinda idiotic

almost blame the victim, behavior, obviously the subject matter is slightly more emotional for those victims of sexual assault then those who , have not

and they dont deserve to be marginalized by their emotions and experience so you can feel better about your prerogative(if thats the case)

were you accused of sexual assault pada, these quandaries dont come out of nowhere?
I am suggesting that there is no difference between a police officer inquiring after the fact and an ordinary person inquiring after the fact. If you feel offended expressing your opinion, don't share it. If you feel offended answering the question, don't answer it. Again, it's a pretty simple concept to grasp.

You are just overly sensitive. If I were sexually assaulted and someone asked me if it was a legitimate sexual assault and I wasn't just exaggerating what happened, just to be sure - this is something most females don't automatically understand, accusing someone of sexual assault is serious fucking business! It can literally ruin your entire life - I wouldn't react as if I'm being accused of something, there is nothing suspicious about someone asking for clarification of an event before they potentially send someone away for years and tarnish their entire record for LIFE. Consider that.

If you're too afraid, or too uncomfortable to tell the police the truth about what happened, how would you ever expect to solidify a conviction for what happened to you? Based on your word? Fuck you.

Yes, I have been sexually assaulted. The ramifications of that echo throughout my life. I no longer go out at night alone or very rarely do so. I don't like people touching me, my old friends understand but new friends find it strange. I park my car in carefully selected parking spots. I now own a gun. I dress in loose clothing so as to not show my shape. When a strange man says I look nice I think that there is something more to it.

Before the assault I was very outgoing and ready for new adventures. Not so much anymore. My new home only has one entrance I feel very safe because of it, it is on the second floor so I don't have to worry about him coming thru the windows. I still make friend easily and enjoy their company but I have lines that I drawn and never cross.

I have vowed that if it was to happen again either he or I would be dead by the end of it. Does that give you an idea of what it does to women?

TROLLING

Trolling is trying to get a rise out of someone. Forcing them to respond to you, either through wise-crackery, posting incorrect information, asking blatantly stupid questions, or other foolishness. However, trolling statements are never true or are ever meant to be construed as such. Being a prick on the internet because you can. Typically unleashing one or more cynical or sarcastic remarks on an innocent by-stander, because it's the internet and, hey, you can.

Was that last part necessary? I know what sexual assault could potentially do to someone - not just women, either.

This is specifically why I didn't ask for any details in the OP, to avoid these sorts of passive aggressive accusations. I read a few articles that suggested sexual assault among women in the United States is much higher than I was previously led to believe, I don't know anyone, or very few women myself who have experienced something like that which makes it difficult to gauge an accurate figure.
