LED Lights

Hi everyone, glad to be part of this awesome community! I am looking to get Gavita 1700e and the shop suggested the Spectrum King Phoenix 680W as an alternative. Not sure if they are just trying to push these lights. However, The Phoenix has slightly better specs, are lighter, and seem to top the 1700e across the board a tad bit. On the flip side, the Gavitas have a name, I have used them in the past, and have been around for many years. What are your thoughts? I cant seem to find proper reviews on the Phoenix. Are LED's all the same more or less or just roll with what you know and pay the extra few dollars for piece of mind?

P.S running both on 240V

Link for both lights below:

I would also looking into Growers Choice lights. Just giving you some things to look at. I run Growers Choice and love them and they have good warranty service and great customer service.
I used growers choice and they were ok. I had 20 of them at one point. They are super heavy and bulky tho

Looks awesome! I don't want to bring too many lights into the picture as I am trying to figure out on just these two since I have enough on my plate trying to set up my 80 lighter
Cool. If you decide on ChilLed let me know. I had a 5% off link that might still work.

I hadnt seen those spectrum kings before, just their older sk series lights, but those were great lights for their time. If I were you I would get the spectrum kings and save the money, I am going to look further into those lights myself. spectrum king just does Led lights so its not as well known as gavita, but its an american company who builds their lights in the usa and was one of the first to offer actually good full spectrum commercial led lights. at that price and with the sale right now I would buy those and not look back.

That is sorta where Im leaning towards. Just trying to find someone who has actual experience with these lights. Want to see if people are pulling same yields or more with the SP Phoenix vs 1700e

As long as the spectrum king is using Samsung diodes id go with it. Everyone gets lost in the sauce with these new LED's when they're really all the same. They're all from china, just with a different name attached to it. You're not going to get better quality or more weight from a LUXX to a Gavita to a Growers choice. Only thing that really separates them is the warranty.

I'd go with the best price for the specs you're looking for. Synce LED is the only light that really separates itself from the rest of the game but they're way to pricey.

I think you are right. Thanks for your input!

yeah from what I have noticed with the led's I have so far is that as long as its a quality product from a reputable company (has independent testing of its lights/ is dlc listed) then what really matters is the output. the spectrum kings put out more light than the gavitas, and in my somewhat limited experience with led's that will translate to yielding more. I didnt realize spectrum king came out with a bar style light before seeing this thread, but am now trying to see if these are available locally, at that price I can afford to replace the rest of my hps lights before the next run/

I guess its possible, I dont have any inside information or anything, or any experience with the phoenix model at all. They do advertise the phoenix as being made in the USA, I guess it could certainly be a case of "assembled in the usa from global materials" like an Ipod used to be. Its possible I have a bit of a blind spot towards spectrum king, but I respect what they did for Led's, at least in my eyes.
