That's definitely the best way to go, running both... That's how I started with my cfls at the beginning of my first grow, but by the end of that grow I had qb 288 135w kit

Dont know where to post question like this , so this is the most watch thread about led so hope I will get some answers here...

I have 4x 50w diy cob citizen 1212 gen 6 and I can dimm the light to max 238 w when I flower.

I just start and my seed pop out today...The cob s keep drying top of the soil very very fast and today I put straw as mulch on top of my soil...

Can cobs somehow fire the straw...

I mean maybe stupid question but straw is very dry and cobs are aggresive/hot and just wondering if it is possible...
I have decent ventilation in my tent but looking at the clip fan that blow and cobs looks to me like fire risk for that dry straw as mulch
This is my first time using mulch at all and my first grow from start with cobs so I dont know shit yet...

How close are the lights? Maybe you need to raise them

50 cm from chips to top of the soil/straw mulch

Lux meter say 25k to 28k on top of the mulch/straw ...so is this maybe too much for plant that just pop out today so day 1 today...

And the temp in the tent is 31 c....humidity 35% to 45 max %
I have problem with temp and humidity
It is damn hot outside and cant go below 30 c

I deal in inches, feet... Not to be funny but im from the US...

Hi! Do you have your light at minimum intensity!?? Young plants do not need a lot of light! Just adjust intensity to minimum and then adjust the distance between plant and led! Add 10% more light every 4/5 days!

Now when I read this I dimm it to minimum and watt meter show 85 w for 4 cobs..before it was 200w

Now is 12k lux on top

Thank you very much
Hope this change will raise humidity and low temp

You are welcome! You know I am a crazy French grower who believe we are a big family!
What kind of driver do you have!? 21w each is pretty high for young plants so you can stay like this for 2 weeks before start to increase intensity! You will know when you will need more light!

Just started in 32x32" grow tent with 600w LEDs. Have a 16" clone of something like King, Been under the lights for a week and had repotted it when I moved it in. Seems happy BUT have questions. These LED lights have two switches which seems to turn on half the lights. There was no documentation with the lights. Read contrasting views as to which, one or both, I should use in the Veg state. Any ideas?

Hi! It would be easier to answer if you told us the brand of the light! But I guess there is one for vegg and maybe both for bloom! The one who look more blue or cold white should be only for vegg and the more red one should be for bloom but I guess you will need both for bloom!
You only have one plant in 80x80cm...vegg will be long! And if you don't want to waste any time you should consider using the SCROG method(GO SCROG TEAM!!!)asap! Using a solid screen is easier to train the plant!

I have Mean Well HLG 185H C1400A , and I can go from 85w to 238w...
So how can I best increase intensity and when..do I go for 4 w up every 2/3 days or I go every 15 w each week..Or how

How do you guys make transition from spring to end of summer in tent or room with dimmble diy cobs light...
With hps from seed to harvest it is the same light intensity only height from plant to light go up or down...
But with cobs I think I can mimic that spring to end of the summer without fixture going up or down just with intensity on the driver...
Am I right and if I am how to do it right not agressive

Great..In my country no one grow any agro culture with any suplement lights...only sun...so I am thinking about strawberries or lemon farm under glass with diy cobs as suplement light and with some solar panels to power this lights...

So now I run 4 cobs in tent and wondering is it normaln that watt meter goes with last decimal up and down...lights are on 6 h now and I didnt touch intensity and wall meter go 85.9 86.0 than again 85.9 86.0 never same value long period of time...
Is this normal
