I actually bought that light and a 2nd one a month later. Limited budget right now. But did my research 1st and didn't just buy the 1st led out there. I knew the actual wattage and all. But was the best bang for the buck to fit my needs until I do my builds. I may have been a weee bit misleading in my original post. Just wanted to see what people had to say about about this particular light. We all have grown and grow under different lighting. I know I personally have for years. At 52 I planted my 1st seeds at probably 13 or 14 in my bedroom closet. That is until Momma found them. Lol. I then had to grow outside. Then at 16 had my own place and started a grow under a bunch of fluorescent fixtures with 48" fluorescent gro lux tubes. Then moved on to a grow with a bunch of 150w gro lux bulbs mounted so far apart in homemade reflectors. Harvest and even revegged under them and kept 2 mother's for clones. We could go on about this. Point is this is suppose to be about LEDS and their lighting. I am new to LED growing, but not growing in general. I didn't just jump in and buy a LED light like some people have and then was disappointed about the results. Like anything I do, I fully do my research. I know all about the different brands of COBS, QUANTUM, DIFFERENT STRIP LIGHTING and K values. Which is why I'm hoping to do 2 builds in December. I actually bought the light because of my disability budget. These 2 plants were vegged and trained under 3 13w CFLs and a 4' foot 33w 150w equivalency LED Shop Light for 42 days until my light arrived. Pics don't lie, they thrived under it in 4'x4' foot space. They did so well, after taking clones I bought a 2nd one the following month. Like I said on a limited budget. I do plan on doing a couple builds by the end of the year. (Easier than building a model car) lol. What turned out to be a bummer was when 1 of the 2 plants ended up being a male, and had to trash it and it's clones. But still have clones from theother one and just took more recently as well as just started some gorilla glue #4 along with them for the next cycle. A little beat up at the moment with my neck and back injuries from transplanting (Bitzy) as my wife callsher from a 5 gallon bucket to a storage tote and then putting the female beast under a scrog net by myself. Just to give you a size, she has over a 4' foot by 4' foot spread and the scrog net is 6' foot by 5' foot. If you all want to check out the grow from seedings to current they are in my grow log.. Not 1st Grow, But 1st LED Grow. Thanks all for replying. Just wanted to let people know they can grow on a budget and then eventually upgrade. But of course they still need to utilize different techniques, than just putting it in a pot and expecting good results. I personally prefer training, defoliating, others prefer topping, fimming and other things. We're all different in all styles but with the same goal in mind. Good quality herb... Happy Growin' All.....

Being using 4x 1000w LEDs in a 4x8 tent for flowering only for almost a year. Not only do I love the electric bill...but fuck is the herb delicious too. Way more resin off the same strains that I use to use under hps.

Very nice and frosty nuggets. What brand and type of LEDS are you using? Are they white full spectrum? What type of medium are you using in your fabric pots? What lights are you vegging under and how long are you vegging for? How many plants do you have in the 4'x8' and what are your average yields? Once again; " Very nice looking frosty buds."

Keep an eye on VPD and humidity, they look a bit burned by too much transpiration and nutrient uptake. I bet the first leaves were already damaged in the third week, right? Look for ~ 60-65% RH with lights on next run ...
Apart from that, the buds look good, mate. Like LED buds should look like.... Fat, hard and heavily covered with thick trichomes. That's how they should be!
Keep an eye on the RH and you end the next run with green, undamaged leaves.

Hey everybody who is using LEDs out there. Lets join up and start chattin about this and that. Figuring crap out. Seeing what works for you, but not me, etc. etc.

It would be much appreciated if only people who USE CURRENTLY leds for mostly full grows, or vegetative grows using only LEDs.

HID users, we already know you are better than us, and your buds are bigger than ours. But there is a first time for everything, and a new beginning at ever end of something old.

ALSO IF YOU ARE AN LED SALESMAN TRYING TO SELL YOUR PRODUCT THIS IS NOT THE THREAD FOR YOU! STAY AWAY! IF YOU ARE AFFILIATED WITH A COMPANY AND HAVE BIAS FEEDBACK WITHOUT RESULTS. STAY AWAY!

Thank you all, and I hope this thread EXPLODES in growth...

I like LED's There I said it.
I first used LEDs' to propagate some clones about 10 years ago and when Californa went Grow Legal I stated figuring and converted a spare bath room to growing. I used a 50 Wall Watt R-B-IR-W $25 panel in a propagation tub, later ran an expieriment to grow some seeedlings to flower under justhe 50 watt fixture 12/12 from seed, and bought a $80 Vander "1500" (really ~250 wall watts). Using this light at 6-20 inches I was able to grow a nice 2x2 scrog 80% filed from one plant.
I was able to fill 3 quart jars with bud for curing and I still have at least 2-3 jars to go. Not sure of the weight yet still drying, but I'm happy.
Yes, even slacker growers can make the magic happen with LEDs.

Way to go Goat. Congrats.

So do people generally find it's better to HPS for budding and keep the LEDs for veg. I hear the people saying they are strictly led but can anyone thats tried and used both answer ?
