Theses are the 1800 watt holandstar cob led grow light. I absolutely love them so far. And they do just fine in flowering. Also just the center 2 cobs are on in the pic, because I’ve just started a tent of amnesia haze auto flowers. And in bed mode the give off a blue/pink, with all cobs on it looks like natural day light. They only use 300 true watts. And they run pretty cool.

Probably not as much but there is a difference, also does warm containers and mix. I have 6 new or near new bulbs so, being a hobby guy I thought “just do it.”
In my case, i have 5 Quantum Board running at the moment. I was thinking to replace 2 of them by CMH or HPS. I think mixing with led could be a very good option, warming the leafs. I'm hesitating between HPS and CMH indeed. CMH may be the better of two worlds, warming up the leafs without warming up the room that much compare to HPS. What do you think?

The 315 watt and multiples are widely used and have an excellent spectrum along with some UV, ton's grow results.
Yea but i hardly find what are the difference with a classic HPS. I can find the different specification about spectrum and whatsoever, but in the end, why i should go HPS or CMH.

HPS spectrum and efficiency are lower and the CMH will add UV which HPS lacks. Check the 315 CMH thread, big difference actually.

So...
Ran into a strange issue while setting up the 3x3 tent.
here is a pic of what I've done.
The issue is all the dead, not being used to grow in, space at the top of the tent
This setup only allows a couple feet of grow space.
What would be a good way to recover the space?

three weeks and 2 days I believe. After growing for 20 years or so, I’m convinced there must be little LED fairies in there dropping magic on them because this is blowing my mind so far. I have done nothing different from other grows, only difference is the LED. Just using Lucas with good tap and a splash of cal-mag with good tap water pH’d to 6.3. Any idiot can do it

I had the same issue with not a lot of headroom in my 2x4x5 tent, but I just moved my inline fan and carbon filter to the back of the tent and angled the ducting to fit out the top. leaving me with an extra 18 inches of space. I Even added zip ties to the top of the light and hung the ratchet straps on those instead of the metal wire allowing even more space to lift.

I agree wholeheartedly. Maxibloom and epsom salts. Around 630w of QB's20200716_165812.jpg

Think I've got a plan.
Will rehang the light from the support beam in 4 places(in each corner) I will put a light hanger in each corner(4) instead of 1 on each side(2), that will recover enough room to bring the light all the way up to the fan/filter.

day 36. So they seriously look a week ahead from what I would expect? Do people find this to be the case? Can it really shave a week off a cycle? If that’s the case that’s almost a full grow every two years! so an extra pound a year or so a year just there. If this holds up to be true then it’s just stupid for everybody not to make the switch.

Not sure that it necessarily knocks a week off the cycle, but the buds do get big pretty quick. I couldn't believe it either haha
