Timber Grow lights. I can't find where it says it now but I did read that they tested their lights without the reflectors they still show on their lights and it turned out the readings were better without so now they sell them without. For all I know it's something specific but your pic reminder me of it.

Can I just say with a measly 24 hours in LED. All beginners should just go this route because you can obviously see the plants so much better. Probably knock a day or two of recognizing any plant problem.

I think that’s a cover up for the fact their cobs practically melt the reflectors and when you try to get them off they shatter into a million bits all over your plants.

I have a light meter and it does not show a 10% rise when the hoods are removed.

I Have Been Running Vero29 Gen 1 Cob's For 5 Years Now And Never I Said Never Had 1 Melt Or Break Off Into a Million Pieces Never.:roll:

Gawd The Level Of Dumb Ass Is High Tonight. Tell Me How Are You Going To Measure A Frequency With A Wavelength Meter? Timber States That The 10% Gained Was Par Wattage Which Is Measured In Joules Not Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density (PPFD). To Accurately Measure Par Wattage One Needs To Have Access To A Integrating Sphere Or You Could Just Do The Math Converting A Wavelength To A Frequency. First E=hf Where E Is The Energy Of The Photon In Joules h Is Planck's Constant ( 6.63* 10^-34 Joules) And f Is The Frequency Of The Light In Hertz bongsmilie

Did You Think To Get A Hold Of Timber To Find Out Whats Happening? I Did And Get This The Owner Answer's His Own Phone And Explained Whats Happening And Also They Have A Fix For The Reflector Adapter Which Is To Simply Remove The Adapter And Affix The Cob To The Heatsink. The Cause Is Theirs Too Much Photon Energy Being Produced At The Base Of The Cob Causing A Initial Heat Issues. Ledil Is Aware Of This Design Flaw And Are Working On It. My Next Question Is Why My Timber Didn't Have This Issue And Apparently Their's Only A Hand Growers Having This Issues. :peace:

Hi folks - Im now on the LED team. Went with the Spider-Farmer SF2000 for my 3x3x6 grow tent. I also use LEDs for vegging. Im coming from CFL based micro grows so this new flowering setup will be quite the upgrade for me. Cheers dudes & dudettes! 20200618_095343_HDR.jpg

So I read that led has almost zero ir so I would have to have temps at 82 and got smaller 4 inch fans. Well these lights raise the temps by 15 degrees and now I’m. It sure the fans will keep up. It’s those plastic temp controlled ones advertised on here
