they sell cheap crap there which takes months to be delivered...
And you know this by personal experience or are you just haphazardly flapping your internet jaws? Those of us who have actually ordered from Alibaba have had great experiences, and know you are completely full of bullshit. Each order is also backed 100% by Alibaba's trade assurance. If your order does not arrive on time your money will be refunded by Alibaba should you request it. You sir, are 100% complete bullshit. Alibaba, not so much.

Repackaged from who exactly? Nobody else on the market has 132 boards. And please also explain how they are the overpriced. I built a 700w ceiling under $600. Way under a dollar per watt
Goodie gumdrops! Under $600 you say?

$504 to my front door 7 days from order placement. 660W Samsung LM301b diodes and mean well drivers with a 5 year warranty. Word to your mother homie.

And to clarify, all of the components that comprise Stephen's boards are all imported from China. He then pays his lemmings to put the components together. They add some really snazzy stickers, and then name it something that sounds really edgy. Then they ask you to fork over $900 for something that's worth $500. Fuck that. Twice on Sunday.

Different strokes I guess. Can you run that at 10" above your canopy? Does it reach the corners of your tent? Can you call spiderfarmer and talk to a person that speaks the same language as you? Not knocking them, I have some China boards too, but why knock HLG?

You don't know what the fuck you're talking about man. HLG started quantum boards. Everyone else just copied them. The Meijiu lights look like decent copies, but I prefer to buy American. I don't like to support the Chinese government. Yes, I'll pay more, but it's worth it to me to know I'm getting top quality stuff. And if I had an issue, I know HLG would take care of me in a second. @Stephenj37826 has my business. Use code "RIU10" for 10% off.

Odd question considering these units all come with dimmers. One could place the unit as close as one would like. Yes, I can place the unit 10" above the canopy. Your question implies you aren't very familiar or accustomed to reading specifications. 3 Mean Well ELG drivers @ 660w powered to 1308 Samsung LM301b diodes. Yes, it more than adequately covers a 5'x5' tent. Some plants experienced light bleaching because the unit is too much for a 5'x5' tent. However, I'm not using these units in a tent. Presently they are mounted in 2 nursery tents, because I just harvested my flower room 3 weeks ago which is where I dry my harvest. However, I had no intention of delaying a performance test on both units. Hence the reason they are presently mounted in my nursery tents.

Why on earth would I need to call spider farmer or HLG for that matter? If the unit works there's nothing to discuss. I fail to understand the point you are attempting to make. I knock HLG, because they infinitely fuck people. That is their business model. Everything they sell is imported from China. It baffles me why people vehemently defend HLG. They are nothing more than a middle man putting themselves between the consumer and the products they are importing from China. HLG's Samsung chips? Made in China. Imported from China. HLG's Mean Well drivers? Made in China. Imported from China. There is nothing American made about HLG. Your money still goes to China. Some people just love getting middled. I'll never understand that.

Everything onboard an HLG light is imported from China. Being willfully ignorant is no way to go through life.

By the way, when you pay two times what a product is worth any company will kiss your ass. I can buy two 660w quantum boards with the same chips and drivers for the price someone like you would hand over to HLG for 1 light. People like you are awesome. You entertain people like myself.

Thanks, I know I'm awesome.

The Samsung diodes come from South Korea or China, but HLG gets the best ones. The cheap lights are using lower binned diodes, or the scraps that don't pass the standards HLG has.

Your name says it all Jonny Nobody, lol.

Oh okay. Now I'm convinced. Job well done.

Case and point:
HLG 650R $1099 operating @ 610 watts. Holy fuck me running I can't believe people actually shell over that kind of cash for a 610 watt unit. Just wow. Maybe if I was awesome it would make sense to me. I'm just not that awesome :)

That site looks so sketchy, I have never heard of it until I came to RIU. What's up with it?
Some people have good luck with it. I ordered a vape pen from them awhile ago, and even though it looked like the real deal, it was a fake, and had a shit battery, and cheaper parts. I figured it out when I went in a vape store once and was like "WOW I got a deal, I only paid so and so". That's when the guy at the vape store showed my how to tell the fakes from the authentic vape pen. Well I felt like a dipshit then, lol. It didn't work for long either.

They even make fake Meanwell drivers, and make them look like the real thing. It's not for me. But like I said, the Meijiu brand doesn't look too bad, and they aren't claiming to be HLG. @bk78 has had good luck with the strips so far. His look pretty nice, but I'm hesitant to buy anything from Alibaba anymore.

I don't run dimmers and I can run my boards 10" above my canopy, maybe lower. Never saw light bleaching. I have a distance of 2" on all sides of my light. My corners are well lit. I'm glad you spent less, and that you got exactly what you wanted. I'm also not feeling any regret for my purchase
