Legit vintage strain breeders or hobby breeders

Good afternoon folks. I'm interested ONLY in the true old school Marijuana strains and wondering if anyone knows any reputable breeders on here. This can include people cultivating professionally, as a hobby, or have actual legit old seeds of certain strains kicking around they would like to get rid of. I'm very passionate about working with the strains from the 60s and 70s and not all this hyped up stuff of today. Id love to start bringing some actual authentic strains back to life again. I know I know I have a daunting task ahead of me but its truly what I'm into. There are a lot of false claims out there but if someone could point me in right direction it would help greatly. Or drop me a message if you share the same about the vintage strains. This is NOT spam if you see this same post on another site. I'm trying to dig up as much info on retro seed breeders as I can with similar interests as me! Drop me some messages if anyone else interested in the 60s and 70s strains!

I my self would love some of the old school gens. from the 80's n 90's. Or earlier. But seems the internet, including this site, sorry but this site and many others do nothing but hawk Bullshit genetics slap wi an old school name. Going back to yer old town from teen years and seeing if any of your high school buddies old parent's still have some seed stock in their celler from decades ago. Lol. I've thought about doing it.

I lucked out this year. An old cannabis man who ran a seed op here in AK since the late 60’s had a heart attack. In discussing this bad news another old grower in the Matanuska Susitna region told me he could turn me on to a male cutting and a female cutting of Durban Poison. This old boy who had the heart attack apparently heard about Ed Rosenthal doing this or vice versa and went to Rhodesia for seeds around 1975. He has kept that going but he’s down and out. No more seed from him.

A friend brought these cuttings along with some of the last seeds he had of a strain called Mud Bight Delight. Again this old man in Ketchikan AK (same guy) has kept this strain going since the 70’s. I have the DP in a tent with a female Jack Herer. The DP male is in the compost heap. These Jack Durban are as modern as I want to go for a while.

I used to live in K-town for a few years back on the late 2000. I smoked Mud Bight... It was off the fuckin charts potency wise. My ole lady, who scored the oz. And also was/is a hard core puff n tuffer. Straight up thought it was laced. I laughed and said that this is the most potent strain I have ever smoked..... I would give my left Nut for a cut of that from one of them ole locals up the in AK. Sorry for the rambling, but it was the most potent strain I've had in 30 years of smoking bud!

I have 4 outside right now. Just heard of someone else who keeps it going. Trying to make connections with him.

Ya Id love to score some old seeds, especially from the 60's and 70's. This alone is going to be basically impossible and probably would never grow lol. Id love to start bringing back the true strains from those years.

All the oldschool strains would just be landraces, no? Or a super early cross of a landrace

Depending on where you live in the world, you should be able to hunt down the landrace strain(s) that were prevalent at the time in your area.

ACE has Old Timers Haze and some other Central American landraces and IBL's. Cannabiogen has some Mexican and Colombian offerings. If you want to really explore landraces from around the world check out The Real Seed Company and The Landrace Team.
