Lemon Kush (fem) from Humboldt Seed Company, anyone growing/grown it?

Hi,
A couple weeks ago, I got a pack of these from an LA dispo... just curious if anyone out here has grown some out and has pictures to share. I can't find much online about this one, google mostly gives me "Lemon Kush Headband" by the same breeders, or simply San Fernando Lemon Kush

I'm particularly curious about the phenotypic stability with this run...
I'm hoping to maybe make myself a stock of S1's or F1's with these as I love lemony strains.

I hope that I don't have to grow them all out looking for the best pheno. (I'm following my legal plant count)

That's funny, I picked up those and OGK seeds from an LA spot for 90 a piece. I don't know if they're the same spot.

I have a couple of them on the way now, about 1 week into 12/12
I haven't treated them perfectly, but they are coming along looking average so far.
Yep! And yours are doing absolutely well, keep going man . It was a finicky bitch for my uncle and I. Here's some recent photos. EVERY GROW is different BUT if it helps I learned this with growing it in dirt: 6.5PH almost always, burns with any lower. Mind over watering. Keep the nutes simple the plant is SUPER sensitive, and intermediate growing level because of the skinny branches it produces. My uncle says if the nugs smell like poop instead of lemon and earth while on the plant, look out for mold. Here's a few pics. Ones almost done and ready for harvest. And there's a couple of them in the tent that have the same phenotype.

Hey thanks for the great reply. It's interesting to see the buds from yours, I'll keep a log here how mine do as well.

I have run into some of the issues you have described too. The poop smell, and the roots extra sensitive to watering... been tricky to water the right amount.
I don't have flowers yet, and have been vigilant for mold, but that poop smell was so disgusting and strong a week or two ago. I turned down the humidity and that fixed it. At first I was worried there was something wrong in the soil, but the smell seemed to be coming from the leaves themselves until I cut the humidity. Still no visible sign of mold/mildew.

I'm doing this run organic in fresh super-soil by the way, buildasoil 3.0 mix, about 12~13 gallons soil in each pot. and just watering with straight de-chlorinated tap water, and a little bit of Recharge. Probably gonna add some yucca extract soon as a wetting agent, since sections of my soil still feel dry underneath after watering.

Keep the area moving around the plant. Strength train the branches so the colas dont weigh them down during flower, or tie up or tie down. Im actually facinated on how tall your plant is going to be, thats alot of dirt! Kudos to you. I also have had weird "sap" moments, where I saw clear liquid coming out of the nugs but I was told this is normal; a release of excess nutrients is what they say.

That yucca idea sounds interesting as well. I'm not sure what dirt you're using, but you also have a big volume- do you have a method of watering evenly? I had the same problem- but I have way smaller pots. I split 26oz in half and water each "half" of the dirt.

Oh crap, and please let me know if you get any purple on the sugar leaf or not. I'm trying to figure out if that's genetic or it's just too damn cold at night despite me running a...damn energy consuming heater. I love my plants guys.

I'm 34 days into flower.
My nighttime temps have been getting down to 66F, and I am getting just a tiny bit of purple on the sugar leaves, not very noticeable at all. I have one looking nearly perfect (just a little bit of wind stress), but the other just looks STARVING.

Same exact conditions, watering, lighting, soil, no pests... A week ago, I topdressed them each with more worm castings, kelp and rock dust to help during the flowering fade, but it is still just coming on far too aggressive, too early... she's not going to have any leaves left by the time she's done. The whole plant went lime green and many leaves are just dying.
Meanwhile the other girl is still green and healthy as can be. The bud structures look similar but not identical, they both smell sweet now, no hint of lemon yet...

Well, the yucca is there to help me water more evenly. It's a natural surfactant (so like soap) so it will help the water absorb and spread down into the soil more easily. I take about a gallon of water for each plant, and poor in about a cup at a time, letting it disappear before I pour another cup in. Nice and slow. I try to pour in a circle around the pot kind of halfway into the radius.

I really dont want to be wrong; can you send a picture?

Damn, sorry, I didn't see this until now. I'll get you a current pic when the lights come on tonight.
The greener plant is catching up with the hungrier plant now in appearance, but I'm into the seventh week of flower so harvest is coming up soon, and fade is normal for me at this point..
The hungrier, early fading plant actually has bigger buds of the two. Makes me wonder if these are supposed to be fast finishers sometimes

Here's tonight after some defol of dying leaves.
I've never had leaves dry up so much at the tips like this... I'm not sure what the cause of that was. The buds look fine, at least.

It still doesn't smell like lemon or citrus at all, rather, some kind of sweet mint and pine. Not what I was looking forward to, but it's still a nice smell.

holy shit that looks cool! as for the browning tips: I've had that before but my situation may have been different: I had plants "concreted" in hard 1gal pots with over nutrients. I also had it happen to me with over watering. But dude I am far from a guru. I'm right here with ya aha. Yeah, I didn't quite like the taste of mine. I think it was a little too light in density and it had a harsh taste mixed with sweet. But the high is of note. Have you been growing anything else?

after this I will be taking a break for a little bit, and this is my last cycle finishing up for now. :) really looking forward to the smoke. I'll post some more pictures once they're ready for curing.
The plant on the right, (the much greener/healthier plant throughout flower,) actually grew smaller and really leafy looking buds compared to the one on the left, that dropped all it's leaves quickly.

I see what you mean; What was your PAR reading at in flower?? That's still a decent yield though from what I see. I recently tried something new altogether for me. I made a SIP bucket, with cocogro, clay pellets, and perlite as a medium. lol I have no idea how often Im going to have to water.

Admittedly, I don't have a par meter yet, but I can list my lights, I'm running 3 lights in this 2x4 tent.

1x: Parfactworks RA2000 (about 125 watts) close to white color, leaning a little towards yellow... this light feels awesome for the price. (or was, two years ago) It's bright as hell so I keep it at the very top of the tent.
2x: generic amazon blurple grow lights (about 40 watts) placed on the sides of the tent, with only the red spectrum "flower" switch engaged, since both flower and veg modes together created too much heat in the tent. I kept these lights about 1.5 feet above the canopy as they grew.

I'm a soil+compost guy at heart, as hydroponic feeding feels too delicate and ambiguous for me, but best of luck with your SIP buckets going forward, looks like a very fun way to grow :)
