My fellow monkeys maybe?, let’s not argue or try to convince each other, let’s just do a b testing to see what helps and what doesn’t and publish the results. Do we know for sure that 20/4 is optimal across a wide range of autos? DLI, does it mean anything to us really? Flushing help? When? You get the idea...

I clone with potting mix in clear plastic cups and sometimes they will stay in the cups for a month or more after showing roots, never had any problems. But mostly use clear cups because I can see where the roots are at and if they need a bit of water.
I did grow one to maturity using Coco in a Coke bottle as an experiment, and one in a white water-canister hempy that let light through and no ill-effects on either.

Yes .... many will also slip clear cup into a color cup ( double ) , for same reasoning.
Check root growth , etc.......

I used to run DIY SIP grows in cut 2 liter bottles ...
