I vac seal each breeder specifically..and then put all those vac sealed bunches together and then vac seal em all together. I leave em in a fridge so i wouldnt be sure on the mini fridge part.
Gotcha. Thanks for the input man! Trying to keep a larger package out of my main fridge... and my beer fridge in my garage might be a little too cold and it is an older version so might have the same humidity issues.

Rice or some sort of moisture control in a sealed container in the freezer for long term storage. Collecting seeds is one thing, but keeping them viable for long term use is something else.

Ok holy shit dude! links to where to buy this stuff PLEASE!!
Sorry, I don't have specific links anymore, its been a little while since I ordered everything.
I can tell you I found the plastic ziplock pages and silica gel desiccant packs on Amazon.
As for the photo binder, I got that from Adorama, making sure that it keeps light out when closed.
I ordered the largest hard sided photo binder available due to the number of pages that I knew would be placed inside.
You may want to keep that aspect in mind while picking out the size/thickness of your binder.

I'm going old school l and pulling out my sister in laws grade school lunch box! I have a seed buying problem and needed something larger. Maybe will have to get something that seals better but this will be fun for now. Hmmm or I think there is a pound puppies one also lol

I read in the useful seeds thread you should bake the grains of rice in the oven for 30 minutes at 200 degrees if you are gonna use that as a desiccant

I saw a picture on a different thread where someone was using a Survivor Dry Box to store their seeds, they come in two different sizes but even the small is a decent size for seeds. I was thinking about getting one, I'm currently using a small mason jar.

Right now I'm using a shoebox with jars and ziplock bags, each with silica gel, inside a normal side by side fridge.

I recently decided to test my methods by popping some seeds from back in 2011/2012 and they're still super viable. Hopefully this continues.

I had a thought that I would upgrade the shoebox to a plastic ammo storage case like:

I'd line the bottom with sheet gel packs which can be cut and shaped: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DQGSWYY

And cover that with a sheet of plastic and tape in the bottom 1 inch or so of the case.

Then I'll keep the case in the fridge. If the power ever goes out, or the fridge has problems, then maybe there will be some extra hours of cold protection with those gel packs. It would also make for easy/safe transport if I have to take it somewhere in a hurry. My seeds are probably one of the first things I want to grab if I have to bug out quickly. I have lost my whole collection before, in the mid 2000's. I still kick myself a lot... though not as much these days since I have so much great stuff to work with now. (A little under 2000 seeds) ;-)
