Planted directly in FFOF, didn’t have time to amend. Have been watering slightly once a day. Day 2. Light is ab 24in 60%dimmed. 18/6 light schedule.

probably a good thing you didn't have time to amend that soil, if you had you probably would have toasted your seedling. As it would have more than likely been to hot for it. Hopefully your ffof isn't to hot for it to start

oh i thought you meant you were going to add more dry amendments to the ffof, which alot of people do.
just have to be careful with seedling as they are very sensitive to over feeding and over watering.
i usually start them in a beer cup of 1/3 my organic soil i mixed up and 2/3 pro mix

No I was just going to use the coco mix to cool the soil down for seedling stage, then transplant into straight FF.

do yourself a favor and ditch the coco, unless you want to grow in coco, but if you want to grow in soil get yourself some promix or another peat based growing medium to cut your soil with

Noted. I don’t want to grow in coco yet bc I don’t want to pay for all the nutes rn, but I’ll probably transition to compare next grow. I want to fert as as less as possible. Not goin to feed these babies anything but water for awhile.

Leave it as is in FFOF . It may burn upfront ( strain specific) but plant WILL ACCLIMATE to it in time as long as you do not add unnecessary amendments to that host soil . Very little watering is required upfront - as you do not want to cause a damp off situation that will kill it.

When i plant a seed into straight FFOF , i tend to scoop out a center plug area and fill that with HF or another MILD mix .... think sandbox for seedling start so seedling can begin growth without being overpowered in beginning of growth.

FFOF will feed a plant up to 6 weeks on water alone. It is that ammended right out of bag. So your “ feeding “ is covered already. Target 6.5 ph in watering and let it do its thing.

As a natter of FACT , FFOF can be your “ nute “ for entire grow ... all you do is top dress at certain intervals to keep it recharged as it becomes exhausted over time. Top dress new FFOF and water in ..... stupid simple.

So u wouldn’t use coco for plug area only something like HF?

Exactly. One of the main reasons I decided to grow in soil so I didn’t have to worry ab over fertilizing.
Any recommendations on what I should top dress with?
