Light discovery

I have been told "keep your light as close to a budding plant as possible without burning it". I am here to say, WRONG. K?! Even though no burning was visible, it kept the flowers dry.. it is my theory that the plant was trying very much to focus on not drying out (yesterday the flowers seemed.. not as moist as they should be) because today I moved the light up like 8 inches, and now the plant is ultra-sticky-icky with an overly potent smell to it that smells exactly like Sour Diesel + the planty smell obviously but man... I am leaving the light where it is... I bent the plant over so it's LSTed at a 45 degree angle with the light about 18 inches from the top cola and 24 inches from the middle of the plant. :) I'm all smiles! god I'm such a newb. omg it smells so gooooooood i wanna fuckin EAT IT

Well you supposed to keep as close as possible without damage which includes drying leaves or trichs

I found that out too PK. I had to tie my plant down and my bottom branches are at least 2' away from the light and they are getting huge. Now she is getting really crystallized and very sticky.
