Never ask about yield here. The answer will always be the same lol. Light intensity is always directly related to your yield yes...but like someone else said...There are other variables too.
No, more light = more energy. It's up to the grower to set the conditions that allow the plants to convert that energy into more yield.
Think of light as being the engine that powers every other process the plant needs to survive and grow. The bigger the engine, the more power the plant has to uptake and expel nutrients, water, and waste, over a greater area, which leads to bigger yields if everything else is kept in check.
