Ever heard of these? I cant live without'em!
.
Goinggreen2008... No, I have not seen those before. I know yogart has good things in it, so I have some evey week. Those look interesting, where do you get them ?
.
Your ideal of a " U Pick It " Garden setup sounds nice. I was watching a show on RFD TV the other night. A family owned farm in Maine, was doing just that.
.
They cut out the middle man and started a small store on their farm. People could come there and buy already picked fresh daily vegetables or pick them thereselves. Seemed most people liked to pick their own.
.
The store offered all Organic... Goat's Milk, Goat Milk Cheese, Goat Milk Soaps, just about every vegetable a person could want, fresh free range chicken eggs, quail eggs, plus fresh cuts of grass feed beef & chicken.
I don't know if these people were getting rich (money wise) but they sure looked Happy. Which, is better in my book any day.
.
I have friends here in Little Rock, working 6 days a week - driving new rides, living in big houses, with fat wallets - but they are stressed out, tired and heading for an early grave.
.
I think your ideal would definetly work - Organic Living is making a Comeback.

Yeah im a passionate person, so working in a office isnt going to cut it for me i need to do something i love and gardening has been in my family for generations so it just seems the natural thing to do!

Ohso: i get these at any health food store you have to try them they wil make you feel so great!

O man hear is a article on them!

Whats so crazy is that the probiotics are microrganisms like the STP! lol thats why i want to use this stuff in my tomatoes and fruits

Probiotic bacteria, defined as living microorganisms that have beneficial effects on human health, have mostly been studied in the prevention and treatment of different gastrointestinal diseases and allergies. Probiotic products, however, are usually consumed by the general, healthy population but not much is known what kind of effects they have on the immune system in healthy adults. It is not clear how probiotics exert their health effects, but one of the most probable action mechanisms is the modulation of immune responses via the gut's mucosal immune system.

The study, performed by the groups of Dr Korpela, Professor Vapaatalo and Professor Julkunen, will be published on April 7, 2008, in the World Journal of Gastroenterology.

This study investigated the immunomodulatory effects of probiotics bacteria in healthy adults. It was found that probiotics have an anti-inflammatory potential seen as a decrease in serum CRP levels and as a reduction in bacteria-induced production of proinflammatory cytokines in peripheral blood mononuclear cells.

Understanding of the specific immunomodulatory effects of probiotics may help in designing future probiotics for targeted purposes. As the effects in the present study were investigated in healthy adults, the real impact of probiotics on inflammatory variables warrants further evaluation during inflammatory processes and in individuals suffering from various types of inflammatory or autoimmune diseases.

I have more info if ya need it but these things are great!

Alright, I think I have an interested audience here. Since you're promoting pro-biotic nutrition, I also want to discourage people from wanton antibiotic use, and even worse, anti-bacterial/anti-microbial soaps and cleansers around the house. PLEASE don't use these unless your doc has prescribed that you use them (immune deficiency, for instance). Bacteria not only reproduce at phenomenal rates, they're able to share successful genes, directly, across species. And if that's not enough to put your panties in a knot, I don't know what is, because even that stuff that says it kills 99.999% of organisms isn't telling you that the remaining 0.0001% (I hope I have that right) that survived your assault are busily reproducing and sharing their genes, like the f'ing town crier.

Basic soap and water removes the vast majority of organisms. Let your kids be exposed to allergens, cows, pigs, chickens, horses, dogs, cats, birds, whatever. Poop (not a sewer, of course). Their immune systems will thank you for it. :)

Thanks Goinggreen2008 & Seamaiden. The Probiotics sound great. I'm going to hit the health food store this week. Yes, Seamaiden at Ohsogreens house, it's hot water & plain ole' Ivory Soap. I agree all these anti-bacterial soaps are working against us.
.
I read an online article last year in the NY Times, which stated children raised in overly clean houses, experienced more colds - because their immune systems were not hardened off - which is a natural process as we grow. So, it basically said Sterile equaled Sickly....later on.

I think they experience a lot more auto-immune disorders, such as allergies, as well. I remember reading a Belgian study some years ago comparing illness and allergy rates of children raised on farms and children raised in "cleaner" settings, as I recollect the numbers were statistically quite significant. And, I know how antibiotics are indiscriminate (without specific regard to gram sensitivity of the given organism), and how bacteria in particular are able to not only reproduce, but share successful genetic information across species. This is the real kicker, folks. this is tantamount to dogs being able to share their successful genes with frogs and giving rise to a super frodog race. This may be how the next great extinction occurs (or, at least the one that would matter most to us, and be most beneficial to the rest of Life on Earth  ).

Okey dokey...

I just ordered the Grow, Bloom, Foliar Harmony and Super Tonic from BMO.

So far these guys are awesome...great customer service, shipping coordination, response time, help with technical questions, etc.

My f'ing staff could take serious lessons from these guys :wall:

I'll let everyone know how and when the 'juice' arrives.

:peace:

I took the plunge too! Quoted me low combined shipping for multiple bottle purchase, then e-mailed back that they were crediting me further, as they were able to ship for less! Are you kidding!?! ...Here we took too much of your money, sorry! Hope the product is half as good as their service. We'll let ya know. :peace:

Thought I'd share my BMO customer service experience. I received my two bottles in a very timely manner, only problem is that one of the bottles had a leak. There was only a tiny pin-sized hole and I just plugged it with duct tape. I'd say less than 10% leaked. I informed BMO just to let me know that maybe they should use some better bottles.

I specifically stated that I wasn't angling for a refund because I was just happy to get my order so fast. Anyway, they refunded half my money and couldn't have been nicer. I look forward to dealing with them many times in the future.

Thank You..... to all the people who have dropped my name to BMO as recommending them. I got a nice email last night from them thanking me. They said in the days to come, they are going to make more options available to people - including rabbit manure, chicken manure, alfalfa meal and a good seaweed extract. Looks like they are going to cover all the basics then some. They told me to except a sample pack as a Thank You Gift. Ohsogreen...Loves Freebies....

This is a good thread, so thanks for that. But most of it is about organic teas with beneficial fungi, and humics and so on. I don't see what this has to do with SuperThrive. It is an elixir of vitamins and hormones, and if you are saying that you no longer need it because of the teas, well, I'd still use it with everything because it's cheap and easy.

Man, I’m confused. I thought BMO was fertilizer!! So obviously, I need a recommendation for that. Plus, I’m currently bidding on the “Super Plant Tonic” and was thinking of adding “Flower Power” to my order and just saw the bat guano fertilizer, so I guess that would do, right?
