Ask @bk78 i believe he has some f8's and they are way better built then the a8's. They may or may not have the same pcb in there to separate each strip. Its a very easy work around but 100 of them is different. Im not sure the price can be beat even with rewiring but i may be wrong.
I was going to get the f8 but they told me it would be 100 more for shipping because the light is heavier.

If its heavier then its probably better. The a8 is cheap aluminum....which is fine but the connections are complete junk. i am assuming the f8 is WAY more solid on the connections.

I would hate to be someone with zero experience with these lights and go through the problem i did. Most would call the light "chineese junk" and toss it in the trash or craigslist for 100 bucks.
Its cheaply made but i stand by paying 650 each for them. They are well worth that. 1 buck a watt cannot be beat....yet.

Yes you are right. I would pay 650 again for this same light. And I have 4 meijiu 240 w led and 2 meijiu 320w led. And they all work great. Had em for over a year.

Info on f8. She said the heatsinks and boards are the same. So I’m wondering what makes it heavier. 56FADA37-596F-4C46-8677-1DED9076AE61.png

Should I go with meanwell or inventronics driver? The meanwell is a HLG 600H 48B, Inventronics is
EUD-600S12-ADT

After seeing that pic , it would have to be where they bend....that must be where the weight is at. Im sure its very sturdy right there which would require a LOT more weight then the A8.

Whichever one is cheaper. most will say the meanwell. My inventronics is not pulling 650 from the wall. (but close enough for me because its only rated for 600)

Yea , i didnt trust my a8's to not be on a stud so 312 holes later , i found studs for all four corners. :wall:

The A8's are heavy at about 50 lbs ish but the F8's have more frame and they bend so i can easily see 10-20 more lbs each.

Buying a LOT of A8's will be a hassle in the long run. I promise that. They are 11 pieces until you mount the driver and its still 8 or 9 pieces. The are only one piece AFTER they are hung.

The inventronics is actually cheaper lol
I meant most would say go with the meanwells. They shuoldnt be that much more but even if they are , i would probably get them. I ONLY say that because of seeing more people using the MW. More people using and a lot more real world data on them.

interesting how the china lights continue to dumb down, 660nm, picture looks like Osram but they dont state that, the high efficiency is white/red lights but is driven by red, but best performance is only best deep red, seems like they feel if they dont say they can drop in any old deep red, so many panels out there with super low output deep reds, making ridiculous claims...:wall:
