Lucas formula

so here's a lucas question that i've had for a bit:

lucas can be used with micro/bloom, floranova bloom and maxibloom pretty much the same.

but then h3ad came up with a slight different ratio of 6/9 for coco. so shouldn't there be a change to floranova and maxi for coco grows?

i started tiny seedlings at 1/2 M/B. then work up from there. the highest i could get w/o burn was 5/10
I'm starting out 4ml micro and 8ml bloom when I start flowering my clones...I'm gonna try 1/2ml micro and 1ml bloom like you do and go up from there...hope I get this figured out

I bought a gallon of micro and bloom so I’m stuck with this. It’s just a matter of finding the right ratio.
i have a small piece of yard that i water all summer. all my nutes that i've tried over the years and don't use anymore got on my lawn. and there have been a good many of them. lol.

It’s probably just about your TDS. There may be more than one ratio. Last grow I flowered understand a 600w HPS. This grow 600w of LED. So they probably have different needs.

if they have decent roots, i'd go with 1/2 up to 3/6 at a max. and drop the cal/mg. that adds a ton of ppms to the mix

That’s way too high IMO. 4:8? 1ml of each will be fine. Are you in coco?

could be.

what led do you have? no more bulb explosions to worry about , huh?? that's an advantage of led that not many people get to experience first hand. and not have their house burn down too.

I bought one of those cheap Updayday lights for $135 that’s 400w

FloraNova Bloom and the Lucas ratio are very similar

Maxibloom has less Nitrogen and Calcium proportionally than either

hope this is allowed

right. but since he changed the formula for coco to 6/9 vs 8/16, shouldn't you need to change floranova bloom too???

if one needed to be tweeked for coco, shouldn't the other??
Maybe?

Since I've switched to coco, I've not changed anything nute-wise. I do go a little overboard rinsing and buffering the coco at the start, even if its pre-buffered. Probably a waste of time but I've never had any CalMg issues with coco.

They both work fine with coco

I've used a 50/50 mix of FloraNova Gro & Bloom for a while
I do the same with MaxiGro/Bloom

I use only the Grow of either for veg.

My personal view is the high PK bloom-boosting recommendations are bogus.
Anything over ~60 ppm Phosphorous is unnecessary imho
