Hello. What do you think about these COBs? Efficiency seems good and they cost 1/3 of vero29 and less than 1/4 of cxb3590.
I don't know the spectral data of the light and do not know how they work in grow practice, They are produced by Philips ... why are they so cheap? Never would you mount them on a your (affordable) light instead of famous brands(cree, bridgelux, citizen)?

for example 3500K 80CRI has 145lm/w adrive at 1200mA...not so bad for only 10US cob, isn't it?

But which part are you speaking of for that price? They make a whole line from small to large cobs. Without knowing the wattage or lumens produced there is no way of knowing if it is a good deal.

Actually there's only a 3500K 80CRI
the L2C5-35801205E1300.

30 bucks a pop @ digikey. Mousers price is about the same. Not sure why Futurelighting has them so cheap. Must be leftovers from a large order is my best guess. But these are closer to Vero 18s efficiency then 29's . Vero 18 c version @ 41 watts 1170 mA 85c = 142 lpw L2C5-35801211E1900 driven @ 1200mA 85c is around 42 watts = 145 lpw . Vero 29 gen 7 D version run @ 37.2 watts 1050mA 85c = 181 lpw

i meant from EU warehouse, not from extra EU sellers...andas java said i took the price on futurelect , so any risk of customs duty , free shipping over 175 EUR(i've to buy other things)....anyway what do you think about this cob?
is a good thing spend ish 150USD for 5 VERO29gen7 instead of 50 for that one?
any grow experience or more informations from anyone?

Lots of other factors to consider. What driver or drivers you plan on using. Grow space is a big consideration. 5 of those are not going to cover a very big grow space. 2x2 or maybe 2.5 x 2.5 would be all they can cover. Do you plan on using holders for the cobs thats extra cash right there. Personally I would probably go with some vero 18 SE's the D version. No holders to worry about just two screws to mount them. Push in wire connectors so no soldering to worry about. efficiency is about the same and they cost about the same Digikey has them for $10.53 http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/bridgelux/BXRC-35E4000-D-73-SE/976-1571-ND/6557074 Just drive them @ 1200mA and they will be close to 40 watts.

Hi JavaCo, many thanx for your answer. Actually my project is for a 2.3x2.3 tent. And my idea was for a 200w of total actual power lamp mounting 4 Vero29 D 3500k run at 1.4 A or at 1050mA ish 190W (5pcs)...I would prefer the second option because i know as vero 29 could run harder with good efficieny but it s also true that less ampere would be not only more lm/w(efficiency) but also less cob temperature (so more Volts/ Wats), and 5 COBs VS 4 COBs would give me a better light distribution..Am i wrong?.i don t need more than 200w but only the best gr/w ratio...while i was searching on web i found this luxeon and only ask to you why anyone use them for their project instead more famous brands...

I bought 5 1212s from eBay for £40 . From Estonia.
I just checked again there now and I definitely see 3500k 1212s.
I can't belive why you don't trust me!
i sent an email at export-estonia seller about 3500K 80CRi CLU048-1212C4-353M2K1 and he answered me
Hello! Unfortunately i don't have that type of COB.
Anyway can someone answer me about my questions?
Nobody know how much lumen/W has 3500k 80 cri version of luxeon drive at 1.4A?
How many Volts would be 5 COBs at 1.4 A?
