I see your point but to play devils advocate. Anyone, including you or I can say anything we want to instigate a fight and it's just as easy to play the terrorist card when you want people to stand and take notice...I'm not a terrorist but I play one on TV.
To me if you spill blood and then claim political or religious views it's still terrorism whether your playing a part or not.
Terrorism is the use of violence for political reasons. They advocated for people to ignore their government and to me it has everythingto do with the influence British and the U.S. forces have enforced over middle eastern areas since before the cold war. I am not trying to justify what they did but that is my theory about what is at the core of hatred towards western forces. Running over a person and then cutting them up and embracing recording of the ordeal seems to scream a intent and not a excuse.
Edit: the way they went about hitting the guy with a car then cutting him up seems different to me then instigating a fight
