Sigh...think a friend fell down the Q hole or is surrounded by people that are. Had some scraggly sounding lady get on the phone mid conversation amd tell me about pills and hunter bidens laptop. Dammit man, was just seeing if you wanted to set off some fireworks next time I am in town, like the middle aged people we are.

Fuckin pills, shit makes people weird.

This whole special master thing was nothing but a stall tactic. It’s what trump does when he gets into trouble. I don’t think it’s going to work this time. Justice is nipping at his heels while he grows more desperate.

The orange buffoon is going down and he knows it.
Garland never wanted to indict him until after the election anyway, it just dug his hole deeper and revealed more. His judge fucked herself for nothing and was just a speed bump on the road to justice. It promises to be an amusing fall and winter, Donald's Christmas present could be a cell, though I really wanna see that TV trial in Georgia!

That sucks man, Ithink it is even worse than when you go hang out with a long time friend you haven’t seen for a while and get hit with ”hey haven’t seen you for a long time, I have a great opportunity for you” As they bring out a bag filled with off brand toothpaste, vitamins, and toilet paper.

my friends don't do that. not sure if i have less ambitious frinds than you, or if it's that they know i'd grab that sack of shit and throw it through the nearest unopened window...and then continue with the visit as if they hadn't said shit.

Donald is about as fucked as anybody can be, Garland has got him a dozen different ways for the top-secret document crimes that will make sure Trump gets out of his cage in a bag. That's just the beginning though, they will be dragging Donald out of his cage for other federal and state crimes, dunno what the point would be, he's only gonna serve a decade at the most before he croaks.

Former White House lawyer warned Trump last year about legal risk of Mar-a-Lago documents: report
A former White House lawyer for former President Trump warned him last year that he could face legal consequences for holding onto presidential records, The New York Times reported on Monday.

Eric Herschmann told the former president in a late 2021 meeting that he could face investigations and legal repercussions if he did not return government materials, particularly classified documents, according to The New York Times. Herschmann was not working for or with Trump at the time, the Times noted.

More than 40 boxes of records, including a reported 300 classified documents, have been recovered from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence since he left office. The National Archives and Records Administration retrieved 15 boxes from the Florida resort in January, not long after Trump’s meeting with Herschmann, per the Times.

Upon discovering classified documents among the recovered records, the National Archives referred the issue to the Justice Department for an investigation. Trump’s lawyers returned several more classified documents to the DOJ in June.

Suspecting there were still more documents at Mar-a-Lago, the FBI conducted a search of Trump’s home in August, recovering 33 more boxes with over 100 classified documents.

Trump and the DOJ are currently locked in a legal battle over the status of the recovered documents. The recently appointed special master in the case, Judge Raymond Dearie, is set to meet with lawyers from the DOJ and Trump’s team for their first conference on Tuesday.

Herschmann previously testified about his time in the Trump White House to the Jan. 6 Committee. The former White House lawyer called the plans of several Trump allies to challenge 2020 election results “nuts,” according to testimony played at one of the committee’s public hearings in July.

60 votes in the Senate is control. The Democrats only have 50 senators. How is it that you do not know that you need 60 votes in the Senate?
i just assumed it was because he's another ignorant asshole who can't shut his mouth long enough to learn anything...could be wrong though...he could be blind, and deaf, and never read anything....he could be autistic....badly autistic. maybe he's like herschel waker, and just got hit in the head a few hundred too many times?

It's a tradition and can be changed by a simple majority, if the democrats win a couple of more senate seats, things will be decided by a simple majority, unless otherwise stipulated by the constitution. Usually, such rules are established at the beginning of a session. They need enough votes to overcome Manchin and Sinema who are bought and paid for and benefit by being a legislative choke point.

Just so you know, the left is already in control. You own the house, the senate and the presidency, remind me what you are rising up against again?
What are you talking about? Democrats have a bare majority in the Senate, not control of it.

OTOH, Trump and his MAGA Republicans had a filibuster proof majority in the Senate, control of the House and the presidency. The one thing they barely managed to do was give an unfunded $2 T tax cut to the wealthy. Thereby obliterating for all time the notion that Republicans stand for fiscally responsible government.
