Paul Charlton: Trump would face charges under Espionage Act if he took classified military docs

77,189 views Jun 1, 2023 #Trump #MarALago #Politics
New York Times Chief White House Correspondent Peter Baker, Politico White House Bureau Chief Jonathan Lemire, and former U.S. Attorney Paul Charlton join Andrea Mitchell to react to a 2021 recording in which former President Donald Trump acknowledged that he took a classified military planning document and to analyze the impact on Special Counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into the documents found at Mar-a-Lago. “The Department of Justice will not have to prove that the document President Trump had in his hand is a classified document to show a violation of the Espionage Act. There would be other charges that may very well meet that definition, if in fact this was a classified document,” says Charlton. “Holding classified documents at a golf country club is wholly inappropriate, and that is a violation of the law as well.”

They got Donald for a lot more than this, the two counts of obstruction of justice carry enough time alone for Trump to die in a cage, then there are the espionage charges.

Trump will pardon him.

Sure Gym, they will get back to you in a week or two when the MAL indictments drop, and the DOJ will send you a copy of the charges as soon as Trump gets them. If Gym wants to stand on the tracks as the highspeed freight train barrels down on Trump, who happens to be chained to the tracks, fine.

yeah like that gonna happen....wonder why Gym doesn't ask Jack ....since he's the investigator

Gym might be talking to the FBI himself one day and might be curious about what Mark Meadows is doing. Jack has got a lot of these fuckers by the balls, and some will no doubt be squealing for a deal when he starts squeezing, there will be no shortage of rats among this bunch!

Gym was one of those who attended planning meetings at the WH before J6 and if there is a conspiracy case going, guess who could be caught up in it? Conspiracy cases are easy to prove, get a couple to cop a guilty plea and have them finger the rest on the stand, throw in a few receipts and you get long prison sentences for a lot of people. If I was Jack, I would have everybody in the bunch wiretapped and bugged, if I could get warrants to do it, even Gym Jordan.

They talked about the coverup after J6 when they realized how much shit they could be in when the capitol was breached, and it all went sideways on them. J6 could not have happened without inside help and a conspiracy, the violence and breaching of the capital might fuck them in the end and most never realized it would go that far. If these clowns in congress met at the WH with the assholes Jack will indict over J6, they will squeal their heads off for a deal and throw house members and senators under the bus for one. Jack would be willing to cut a nice deal to nail republican house members and senators over conspiracy for J6. Donald is as good as gone over the MAL docs, Jack doesn't need to give out too many deals for his ass over J6 either, but congress is where the end of the road for J6 is in IMHO and might be the last indictments over it.

As they say in DC, it is often the coverup that nails them, not the original crime. Donald is gone over the MAL docs and obstruction, and it leaves them all exposed because so many of his cronies and minions have been exposed over the MAL docs case and J6 cases. Jack has plenty of levers laying around to pry the truth out of these assholes. They behaved like a criminal organization, but without but without a criminal's caution, experience and skill, most organized criminals don't send text messages, emails or even make phone calls FFS and the mafia and drug dealers are always careful about wiretaps and bugs.

We are hearing mostly "authorized leaks" IMO as a way for the DOJ to set the conditions of his indictment and to inform the public. The MAL documents could result in conspiracy charges too and for more people than Trump, Donald won't go down for anything alone, he will take others with him on every crime they indict him for, some will have squeal deals and others will go down with him or because of him. The more serious the conspiracy charges like espionage, the more rats there will be and the louder they will squeal. That applies to J6 too, in a conspiracy they are all as guilty as Trump and didn't need to know the whole plan either. There should be a lot of people in Trump's circle that are scared shitless, especially the lawyers because conspiracy indictments are not hard to prove and have a long reach with heavy prison time.

Already sold it.
Or flushed it, he made photocopies of classified documents too.

Jesus, it was like J6 where they had a half dozen documentary film makers tagging along to video record the coup as they attempted it. This time Mark Meadows had 2 people recording shit for his autobiography? What will the title be, From the White house to the Big House? I'm not sure if they were stupid, insane or both!

didn't kushner get 2 billion for something? hmmm
He got the consolation prize for fucking up the nuclear arms agreement. If Trump had managed to get America to attack Iran for the Saudis, he would have made a lot more money than that! How much are thousands of America troops who die in an illegal and pointless war worth? That was the real plan, get America to invade Iran for the Saudi's cash and Israel's political backing. Kush probably took pictures on a phone and passed them along to the Saudi's and Israelis, the Saudis for cash and the Israelis for political asylum if he should need it to avoid prosecution. They were proof that they tried at least. I mean Trump would have made billions and it would have cost America trillions, saddling Joe with an illegal war while Putin invaded Ukraine, win, win.

It's ok though, no need to try him over any of it, even if they could, his ass is gone forever, and he will get out of his cage in a bag over the legal shit he is already in. I can see Jack and Garland wanting Trump's ass very badly over this shit and probably for much more.

Audio recording shows Trump may have violated US espionage laws. Federal indictments MUST now issue

157,057 views Jun 1, 2023 #TeamJustice
With the mounting evidence that Donald Trump violated our nation's espionage laws - including an audio recording that seems to include sharply incriminating statements by Trump himself - the Department of Justice must indict Trump if they except others to protect America's classified information.

This video discusses a number of data points that provide evidence of Donald Trump's political demise AND the growing likelihood that federal indictments are coming.
